The Vandenberg Coalition seeks two summer interns to contribute to the organization’s policy and legislative efforts for the 10 week period from Monday, June 3, until Friday, August 2. Interns will receive a stipend of $3,000 for completing the program. The application deadline is Thursday, March 7, at 5PM EST.

1) In your opinion, what is a foreign policy/national security problem facing the United States that does not receive sufficient attention in Washington? Why is it important and what should be done about it?

2) Which prominent individual (author, scholar, practitioner, elected official, etc.), past or present, has most influenced your views on U.S. foreign policy and the proper role for America to play on the world stage? What work of theirs has shaped your thinking and how?

3) In your view, what is America’s role in the world? What are the core interests of the United States and how should the United States go about securing these as the world becomes more dangerous?
