The Victory Sports High School Missionary position is for high school students who have completed 9th-12th grade (’24-’25 school year) and want to spend the summer on the mission field. Each missionary will raise funds, allowing students to serve as paid missionaries.
High School missionaries will commit to serving at least four camps during June and July alongside college summer missionaries. They will reside at their homes and join Victory Sports at camp. High school missionaries will report directly to the college summer missionaries. Each high school missionary must spend a weekend in Fort Mill, working alongside the college missionaries. This weekend will allow high school students to experience the behind-the-scenes aspect of camp. Victory Sports will provide host homes for out-of-town high school missionaries.
Victory Sports Camps are mission trips that offer sports camps in the mornings and VBS in the afternoons for children in grades first through sixth.
As a high school missionary, you will:
Serve- As a member of the Victory Sports Summer Staff team, you will take on the role of a servant leader—supporting our mission to share the Gospel message and empowering our mission trip teams to do the same. The days will be long but exhilarating as you seek to serve the campers, communities, local volunteer leaders, mission teams, and your fellow VSSM and VSJM summer staff teammates.
Lead- As you and your teammates lead our mission trips, we support and guide you in improving your leadership skills. The Victory Sports leaders will provide you with resources and a framework. Furthermore, you and your team will serve as additional hands, feet, and voices for our camps.
GROW- It is our primary desire that you grow in your relationship with Jesus this summer. This will happen by stretching you outside of your comfort zone and challenging you in your spiritual walk daily. Ministry is messy and often challenging, and we pray that you will be challenged to embrace differences and experience God in new ways.
The application deadline will be Monday, May 20 (unless otherwise noted).
After submitting the online application, you will receive an email with additional program information and a scheduled interview.
You must commit to at least four camps to participate in this program. We must know which camps you will commit to by Monday, April 28.
You are required to provide three references for character and work ethic. One of these references must be from your youth pastor. References can be emailed to Mia Pendarvis at vso@comporium.net or Victory Sports, PO Box 1542, Fort Mill, SC 29716.
