Volunteers are at the heart of Horses Without Humans Rescue. While previous experience with horses is helpful, there are also lots of ways that people without horse experience can help. Your position as a volunteer depends upon where your skills and interests will be most beneficial to our program. Jobs may include getting your hands dirty by helping out around the farm or assisting with other important tasks. The daily operations of HWH would not be possible without our volunteers!

Volunteer Opportunities in each area may include:

Caring for Horses: assist with maintaining stables cleanliness, hauling of horses, unloading hay deliveries, etc.

Clean-Up/Grounds: mowing, fence repairs, weed treatment, etc.

Office Duties: data entry, filing, phone calls, grant proposals, correspondence letters, etc.

Volunteer Program: training, updating volunteers' progress, conducting orientations, verifying references, scheduling speakers for meetings, etc.

Marketing & Events: volunteer at fundraising and educational events, assist at the merchandise tables, photography, conduct tours for visitors at Rock Bluff Ranch, public speaking, etc.
