    MakomNY MOADON, A New Kind of Children's Jewish Learning Program for a New Generation

  • Welcome to the 2023/2024 MOADON
    MakomNY's Children's Jewish Learning Program

    We are committed to developing a love and appreciation for Judaism and understanding for Jewish life among our Moadon children within a warm, relaxed, intimate setting.   

    All of the following information reflects our plans for next year, with the understanding that we must follow all health and safety protocols, which may result in changes to our program. 

    Please complete one registration form per family.

    This form requires credit card payment.  If you prefer to pay in full by check, please email us requesting a special form at moadon@makomny.org. Please note that registration by check is not considered final until check has been received and processed. 

    Prior to the beginning of the school year, you will receive a link to complete a more detailed Student Information Form for each child registered for Moadon.     Location for All Classes: Bethpage Worship Center, 600 Broadway, Bethpage, NY

    Our 2023-2024 MOADON Class Schedule is as follows:

    Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade

    • Meets on alternating Wednesday afternoons 4:30-6:15pm (approximately two times each month, as per the calendar that will be provided over the summer)

    Tuition: $650

     

    3rd, 4th and 5th Grade

    • NEW 3rd Graders and CONTINUING 4th and 5th Graders: 
      Meets weekly on Tuesday 4:30-6:15pm OR Wednesday 4:30-6:15pm
    • NEW STUDENTS entering 4th or 5th grade (and their first year of Hebrew school) need to register for a WEDNESDAY CLASS ONLY, 4:30-6:15pm. We have established specially tailored classes for these new students. 
    • NEW STUDENTS entering 5th grade (and their first year of Hebrew school) need to speak with Sherry Gutes before registering. Please contact Sherry at sherry@makomny.org.
    • PLEASE NOTE: We are currently at capacity for our returning 4th and 5th grade students for our Tuesday classes. Please register for a Wednesday slot. If you need a Tuesday class, we will place your child's name on a wait list. 

    Tuition: $1550

     

    6th Grade

    • Meets weekly on Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm

    Tuition: $1550

     

    7th Grade

    • Meets Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm (three times each month, as per the calendar) 

    Tuition: $650 

     

    *Note Regarding Tuition Payment
    Moadon tuition payments can be made electronically on this form with the option to pay either in full or through equal automatically processed installments (payment date and number of installments vary based on date of registration as per the Registration Policy at the end of this form). 

     

    PRE-MOADON Hebrew workshops begin the week of August 21, 2023.

    MOADON classes for 2023/2024 begin the week of October 3, 2023.

    A detailed calendar with all class sessions will be provided over the summer.

  • Welcome to the 2023/2024 MOADON!

    We are thrilled to have you with us and look forward to a wonderful new year
    of learning for our children and families!

    Registration Details and Policy
    Our 2023/2024 classes begin the week of October 2, 2023.
    MOADON tuition listed below for the 2023/2024 school year includes all educational materials and security fees.

    • Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade: $650/child
    • Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade: $1550/child
    • Seventh Grade: $650/child (Please Note: Bar/Bat Mitzvah fees are billed separately)

    ***Classes fill up quickly. Please sign up early to secure your desired day and time.*** 

    Please understand that if your registration is received after a class has been filled, you will receive an email back that your child has been put on the waitlist for that class.

    Registration Policy:
    March 1st to June 15th: Those who register between March 1st and June 15th and choose not to pay in full upon registration submission have the option to pay in Four Equal Bi-Monthly Installments - the first at the time of registration submission and the remaining three payments at automatically processed two-month intervals. 

    June 16th to August 15th: Those who register between June 16th and August 15th and choose not to pay in full upon registration submission have the option to pay in Three Equal Bi-Monthly Installments - the first at the time of registration submission and the remaining two payments at automatically processed two-month intervals.

    August 16th to October 15th: Those who register between August 16th and October 15th and choose not to pay in full upon registration submission have the option to pay in Two Equal Bi-Monthly Installments - the first at the time of registration submission and the final payment automatically processed at a two-month interval.

    After October 15th: Those who register after September 30th are required to pay in full at the time of registration submission. 

    All payments must be completed no later than December 15, 2023.

    Refund Policy: Should the need arise we offer a full tuition refund until October 15, 2023. No refunds are available after October 15, 2023. Note: After October 15, 2023, those who hae registered for Moadon through the tuition installment option are committed to the full tuition as outlined in the policy above.

  • ***Important Note Specifically for Current MakomNY MOADON Families***
    No Registrations for 2023/2024 will be accepted if there are outstanding balances for 2022/2023 Moadon Classes. All 2022/2023 accounts must be paid in full before registration will be considered final and class placements will be made. If you have you received correspondence that your account is outstanding or have any questions regarding your account status please email bookkeeper@makomny.org and we are happy to help you.
