Global Impact will provide funds to finance the cost of tuition and books for qualifying courses. Global Impact will request any college textbooks purchased by Global Impact be returned at the end of the term to the College Credit Plus Office to become the
property of Global Impact STEM Academy.
Global Impact STEM Academy/Student/Parent Agreement: when enrolling in ANY College Credit Plus coursework, in the event that the student does not complete, the student fails the course, and/or does NOT drop the course by the drop date, the parent/student is responsible for the cost of the course(s) and books. Parent/student is responsible for the cost of college credit hours should the student go over the state maximum limit of 30 hours in a school year between high school and College credit combined.
Students are expected to take at least four high school credits or the equivalent in college courses each semester. A three-credit college course is equivalent to a one credit high school course. High school courses cannot be dropped once the semester begins.
"The subject matter of a course enrolled in under the college credit plus program may include mature subject matter or materials, including those of a graphic, explicit, violent, or sexual nature, that will not be modified based upon college credit plus enrollee participation regardless of where course instruction occurs."
I would like to declare my intent to participate in the College Credit Plus program. I understand that signing this form does not require that I participate during the upcoming school year, and I may decide not to participate without consequence. I also understand that it is my responsibility to notify my school if I do not gain admission to my selected institution of higher education or choose not to participate in the program.
I certify that I have received counseling about the College Credit Plus program concerning the rules and regulations for both my school and college, and that I understand my responsibilities, the benefits and possible risks pr participating in the College Credit Plus program. I also certify that I have reviewed the CCP PowerPoint located on GISA’s website.
