• After care ✨

Step by step how to properly care for what services you’ll receive. If you follow properly and carefully, you’ll have longer beautiful results and get the best out of what you pay for!
  • Lash Extension Aftercare

  • Avoid water exposure after appointment

    • Avoid saunas, swimming pools, steam rooms and hot steamy showers. Advise that 24 hours after the eyelash extension treatment, you should avoid saunas, steam rooms and hot steamy showers as this can affect the adhesive bond on the lash and risk poor lash retention. Unless of course your lash technician used a bonder, in which case exposure to water is fine.

Do not rub the eyes or pull extensions

    • This will damage, not only the eyelash extensions, but the natural lashes too! It will also lead to poor retention & premature lashes.

    Avoid direct heat

    • If you like to cook it’s important to avoid direct heat, such as standing in front of a hot oven etc. Also if you smoke - be careful around lighters as the PBT fibre in eyelash extensions is extremely sensitive to heat.

    Avoid oil-based products

    • You should stay away from any oil-based products, I don’t only mean mascara, but oil-based face moisturiser, cleanser, and any other makeup near the eye area. Any oil-based product will affect the adhesive bond of the lashes, so make sure to keep it water-based for now. If you can’t live without eyeliner (which we totally understand here) Try to use a liquid matte eyeliner.

    Avoid mascara at all costs

    • If you have lash extensions, you must avoid mascara altogether (even water-based ones) as not only can it affect the shape of your beautiful fans, it can potentially damage your extensions, as well as your natural lashes due to the excess weight. If you feel like you need to wear masacara, maybe you need to go a little fuller on your eyelash set!

    Brush lashes daily

    • Brushing lash extensions keeps lashes neat, tidy and separated - avoiding that clumpy, unnatural look, and leaving them to look natural for longer.

    Sleep on your back

    • Eyelash extensions shouldn’t come into contact with anything - that includes your pillow! Sleeping on the side is okay, but if you want to preserve the beautiful curl of the lashes for longer then try to train yourself to sleep on your back if you can, and definitely no sleeping on your front. I highly recommend buying some silk pillow cases if you tend to sleep on your face a lot, the silk doesn't tug on your lashes.

    Clean lashes regularly

    • Make sure you're cleaning your lashes regularly - at least twice daily, once when you wake up and once before bed. Again, avoid any oil-based moisturisers or face wash. By staying on top of lash hygiene, your minimising the risk of infection and lash mites - ew! I recommend using a gentle foam lash cleanser - I can sell to you with free refills or you can buy from Amazon. Make sure to brush and fluff your lashes while drying them after washing. You can use the cool setting on blow dryer or buy a mini fan.

Don’t use eyelash curlers under any circumstances

    • This will affect the position of the lashes that your lash artist will have spent so much time perfecting. Curling and squeezing the lashes can also damage the lash extensions and even lift them off! So make sure you're leaving them well alone; they're really not needed on extensions as they are already beautifully curled. If you feel the need they need to be curlier just ask for a different type of lash curl!

    Regular fill appointments

    • Make sure to get regular infills every 2-3 weeks - this is a must if you want to keep your lashes looking gorgeous for longer, and in great condition. Fills are extremely important because I remove all the grown out long lashes that tend to tug while brushing them out.
  • Brow Lamination Aftercare Tips

  • Can you get your laminated brows wet?

You shouldn’t get your freshly done eyebrows wet for at least 24 hours after the procedure.

Coming into contact with water could interfere with the chemicals used in the lamination process and impact the longevity of your treatment.

Avoid swimming pools and baths for at least 24 hours and be extra careful when showering and washing your face.

Can you use skincare products after brow lamination?

During the first 24 hours after brow lamination, you shouldn’t apply any form of skincare products around the general eye area. You should stay away from using anti-aging products around your brows for 3 days after the procedure. Exfoliating face washes and other facial scrubs should also be avoided during this time.

Can you wear makeup after brow lamination?

It is best to avoid applying any heavy makeup around the brow (such as foundation or concealer) for 24 hours after the brow lamination procedure.

As a part of the procedure, your technician will wax or thread your brows, causing hair follicles to stay open for a period of time after lamination. Applying additional products around the brow area during this period may cause irritation, including spots and bumps. In the following days, you can carry on with your daily makeup and skincare routine, but try to touch your brows as little as possible.

Can you go tanning after brow lamination?

You shouldn’t expose your freshly done eyebrows to direct sunlight for at least 24 hours after the procedure. This also includes staying away from tanning beds

What Does Brow Lamination Aftercare Look Like Day by Day?

If you want to avoid skin irritation and dryness that can come as a result of your brow lamination treatment, or to prolong the effect of brow lamination, the following aftercare is recommended:

    Day 1:

    • Don’t touch or wet your eyebrows.
    • Don’t apply any makeup or skincare products on or around your eyebrows.
    • Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds.
    • Avoid saunas and excessive sweating.
    • Do not apply Retin-A, AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids).
    • Avoid sleeping face down for at least 48 hours after your treatment.

    Day 2:

    • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.
    • Avoid swimming and excessive sweating.
    • Avoid using tanning beds, saunas, and steam rooms.
    • Do not exfoliate the brow area.
    • Do not apply Retin-A, AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids).

    Days 3 and Onwards:

Use brow lamination aftercare oil (castor oil for example) or a conditioning eyebrow serum twice a day to maintain healthy, hydrated skin and brow hairs. Brush your eyebrows daily using a spoolie to maintain their lifted appearance.

How to Keep Your Eyebrows in Shape After Lamination

Eyebrow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment which means, it doesn’t set your brow hairs in that beautiful brushed-up position permanently.

It works by using chemicals to break down the bonds in your brow hairs, making them easy to manipulate and shape as you want. After your technician shapes them, the next step is to fix them in the right position.

When the procedure is done, you can enjoy the results of laminated brows for about 6 weeks.

But to maintain that freshly laminated brow look up until your next appointment, you should use a conditioning serum or brow lamination aftercare oil daily. This will keep your brows sleek and glossy, while regular brushing can help them stay lifted.

You could also include a clear brow gelinto your makeup routine to set the brows and prolong their fluffed-up appearance.

    How to Remove Eyebrow Lamination

Unfortunately, you can’t completely undo the effects of brow lamination in the first weeks after your appointment. The best thing to do is to wait until the effects of the treatment start to wear off, which can take about 6 weeks.

While waiting for the results to fade, you can try washing your brows regularly or brushing them back down with a spoolie to get rid of their lifted appearance.

You should remember to stay away from direct sunlight and avoid wetting your eyebrows for at least 24 hours and you’re basically good to go.

To keep your brows looking freshly done, conditioning and nourishing is a must. There are plenty of natural oils that you can use as well as specialized brow aftercare serums. Regular brushing can also help your eyebrows maintain their shape.

  • Ombre Powder Brow Aftercare Instructions:

    FOR THE NEXT 7 DAYS:

Keep the eyebrow area clean by washing with freshly washed hands and mild soap (such as Cetaphil) twice a day. Do not use a washcloth or sponge to remove soap. Do not use acne cleansers, astringents, or anti-aging products.

Dry the area completely after washing by gently blotting with a clean tissue or paper towel. Do not use a used towel.

Use a Q-tip to apply a thin layer of ointment only when necessary. Do not use bare hands.
(Apply when brows feel itchy, tight, or peeling)

Avoid using too much ointment as this will prevent your brows from breathing and healing naturally.
Remember, less is more with the ointment.
The ointment should also be applied before and after taking a shower and/or washing your face. Use a Q-tip and refrain from touching your brows with your hands.

Do not scrub, rub or pick at the treated area. Allow it to flake off naturally! Peeling is normal.

Do not wear makeup or apply any products other than the supplied ointment on the treated area until fully healed

Avoid recreational water activities such as saunas, hot steam showers, and swimming.

Avoid vigorous activities that will make you sweat. Sweating will prematurely fade your eyebrows.

Please avoid sun exposure to treated area.
Brows will take up to 1-2 weeks to heal. Treat your fresh brows just like you'd treat a fresh tattoo on your body.

Allergic Reaction or Infection: It is rare, but there is a chance of allergic reaction or infection. If there are any type of irritation, rash, or bumps stop using the ointment. You might be allergic or using too much of the ointment.

At any time you are uncomfortable please visit your physician for further information.

    ONCE HEALED:

A maintenance appointment is suggested after 5-6 weeks to up keep the color pigment on your brows. Up keeping your touch up appointment can have your brows last up to 1-3 years!

Avoid hot steam showers as they can cause dehydrated skin and inflammation/ cellular breakdown.

After the 7 days healing period, always use a sunblock to protect from sun fading.
Maintain proper skin care such as cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing the brow area to help keep your brows as vibrant and fresh as possible!
