Hello Parents,
We have secured a grant to offer nutritious hot lunches to our students, aiming to achieve two primary goals. Firstly, we recognize the significance of providing hot, nutritious meals to our families, especially considering the financial challenges faced by larger families where the cost of hot lunches can be prohibitive. This pilot program aims to be inclusive, extending its benefits to all families. Secondly, the initiative presents an opportunity to educate students about nutrition by involving them in meal preparation occasionally.
Before we proceed with meal planning, we would like to gather information about your children's eating preferences. While we understand that individual tastes vary among your children, we kindly request that you provide us with general feedback regarding their likelihood to consume the following lunch options. All meals will be prepared by Lital Cohen, under the supervision of a mashgiach, either at the Schara Tzedeck or Beit Hamidrash kitchens.
Please let us know how likely your children are to enjoy eating the following meals.
1. Fried egg noodles with chopped chicken breast, cabbage, carrots and corn.
2. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (tomato sauce with tiny cut up vegetables in the sauce)
3. Make Your Own Tacos - Hard Tacos with optional toppings: rice, veggie ground beef, lettuce, cucumber, grated pareve cheese, pareve sour cream and salsa
4. Egg and Vegetable Muffin
5. Breakfast Wrap with options for: scrambled eggs, egg salad, or tuna salad with chopped pickles and celery. Includes lettuce and cucumber
