    Please note that the registration form includes an assesment section for all students except those registering for the Twinkle track. Before you fill out this form, we recommend that you contact your private teacher and ask them to assess your student's ability on a scale of 1-5 in the areas of note reading (Alpha students only), sight-reading, playing confidence, rhythm, intonation, technique, playing in 3rd position, and playing in 5th position.

    At the end of this registration form you may pay either the $45 non-refundable deposit or the entire registration fee online (either by Paypal or credit card).

  • Gamma/Delta Auditions

    For OCMS 2023 auditions, Gamma and Delta students will be submitting videos. Visit our audition page to find out more information, but please wait to send in a video until you have received an email in April. 

  • Gamma/Delta Solo Performance Competition

    This year for Gamma and Delta students, we are offering an opportunity for a camp student (violin, viola, or cello) to compete and perform a solo piece at the final concert. You can find more information and view the list of suggested pieces here.

  • Masterclass

    A masterclass is a performance opportunity where a student is given a lesson in front of their fellow students during the week of camp. Students will be selected for participation based on their audition performance.

  • Teachers will receive an email notifying them that their student has signed up for OCMS and giving them more information so they can help the student prepare.

    This questionnaire should be filled out by the student's teacher (preferred) or another qualified individual. Students registering for the Twinkle level need not complete this section.

  • Medical Consent

  • I understand that every effort will be made to contact parents/guardians of campers in the event of an emergency. If I am unable to be contacted, I hereby give my permission for any medical attention which, in case of accident or injury, might be deemed necessary during camp.

    I, as parent/legal guardian of a student attending the Orion Chamber Music Society String Camp at First Baptist Church of Troy during summer 2023, do hereby give my permission for his/her attendance, and further: I agree to hold the Orion Chamber Music Society String Camp, the owners and lessees of any premises used to conduct classes or activities, their sanctioning institutions, agents, officers, directors, and employees harmless and indemnify them from any injury, loss, damage, or claim of any nature arising out of or related to my child's participation in the classes and activities of OCMS String Camp, specifically including any negligent act or omission of the above on the part of my student. I have read and agree with all of the above, and I support the OCMS String Camp in its endeavor to provide the best possible learning environment for every student.
