Section 4: Payment

This section will ask you for your level of membership and your membership application payment. Below is the description of the three levels of membership.

Once you submit your application you will be taken to the payment page for the membership you selected.

Builder Member - $340 – Individual with an active NC General Contractor’s License. Must provide AHAB a copy of your licenses.

Associate Member - $305 – Individual employed by a business, within a trade, industry or profession related to building.

Affiliate Member - $50 – Additional employee, co-worker or representative of a Builder or Association member. Company must have at least one Builder or Associate Membership in order to apply for an Affiliate Membership. You may have multiple Affiliate Members. This is a great opportunity to have more exposure at all AHBA event and more membership representation online and in our membership directory.

Remittance represents your annual membership dues in the AHBA. With this payment you acknowledge that a portion of these dues also covers your membership in the North Carolina Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. You agree to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws of all three organizations.

Dues payments to the Appalachian Home Builders Association are not deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, dues payments may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expense, subject to restrictions imposed for lobbying activity. Since a portion of your dues are used for lobbying by AHBA, NCHBA, and NAHBA, $48.22 for a Builder and Associate membership is not deductible and $2.35 for an Affiliate membership is not deductible.
