Grant Application - Guidance Notes
The Bedale & Villages Community Forum aims to plan, deliver, and influence proposals that will help improve life for people in Bedale and the surrounding villages. We have wide representation from the public, private, voluntary and community sector.
This fund supports community-based projects within the Bedale area. Eligible groups include community and voluntary groups, registered charities, and parish councils. The grant scheme is not open to private businesses or individuals.
Projects could include capital or revenue expenditure for the following; (NB this list is not exhaustive):
Community building alterations
Youth activities
Children’s play areas
Activities for elderly people
Projects for people with disabilities
Transport schemes
Allotment schemes
Feasibility work
Nature areas
As a general rule a maximum of £2000 per group per year may be awarded and applications will be looked on more favourably if a minimum of 25% of match funding is secured. Grants will be paid by cheque to the organisation named in question.
The community forum reserves the right to make acceptations to this guidance should an application meet or exceed the aims and objectives of the forum.
