Signing below indicates you understand and agree to the Policy and Procedure Guideline.
1. Qualifying
All candidates who are eligible for employment, either temporary or permanent, will not be disqualified based on age, sex, creed, race, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, disability or veteran status. We screen and refer all applicants solely on the basis of job-related qualifications and without reference to prohibited classifications established by state and/or federal laws.
2. Availability
After the completion of the Application please allow 24 hours to process. Calling in available on a daily basis is strongly encouraged as jobs change by the day. It is best to call at 9:00 a.m. for same day assignments & / or 3:30 p.m. for next day assignments. When or if your assignment ends, calling the office within 24 hours for your next assignment is mandatory. Not calling into the office for your next assignment will affect any current or future unemployment benefits you may be receiving or apply for. If you do not call in available for your next assignment, after your current assignment ends, your unemployment application for benefits will be denied.
3. Getting Paid
Timesheets can be found on the Lone Star Apartment Services website and printed for your convenience. Time sheets are your responsibility to turn in on time. Timesheets have mandatory deadlines to be turned in. The deadline is no later than 12-noon every Monday. Time cards are invalid without an Authorized Signature.
4. Injuries
Any injuries in the workplace are to be reported within the first 24 hours of the occurrence to Lone Star Apartment Services. In the event of an injury, you will be directed to an alcohol and drug screening clinic immediately. Failure to report the work related injury within the first 24 hours of the occurrence or if you refuse to submit to alcohol and drug testing at the clinic or lab that you were directed by Lone Star Apartment Services, your claim will be considered invalid and any medical bills will be declined.
5. Garnishments
Lone Star Apartment Services is responsible to withhold any court ordered wage garnishment or payments upon request when furnished by you.
6. Conduct
Lone Star Apartment Services will not be held responsible for any Worker, Employee, or Contractors illegal or unlawful behavior, including, but not limited to theft, assault, drug use, or damage to property while on assignment through Lone Star Apartment Services. The Worker, Employee, or Contractor will be responsible for the replacement of lost items such as, but not limited to: monies, checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, tools, etc. in the event they are lost, misplaced, or stolen while in the possession of any Worker, Employee, or Contractor of Lone Star Apartment Services. Such items will be replaced at your cost. The amount owed will be deducted from any money owed to the Worker, Employee, or Contractor of Lone Star Apartment Services.
