  • Celebrity Ranch March 23-24 2024 Spring Workshop and Show

     

    Rookie/ Limited definition: an exhibitor showing a horse in their first calendar year of showing who has not yet placed in this type of class three times (applies to horse or rider), or a horse than can only be shown in-hand due to not being under saddle yet or physical limitations of the horse or handler. Show management will determine elegibility for this division.  Rookies may also compete in the regular all-around.

     Dressage In-Hand- choose any POG or Liberty Test, or the Ranch Intro Test 1 in-hand  (walk/walk or walk/jog).

    Cowboy Dressage Challenge Court- any test, also to include PUS tests WW1 and WJ1

    Cowboy Dressage (Flat Court)- Cowboy Dressage walk/jog 1 through 6 or W/J/L 1-4 (see Cowboy Dressage Class list and Intro test attachment). 

    Western Dressage Short Court- any INTRO or BASIC level test

    Each horse and rider team may compete in a total of FOUR dressage tests (ridden or in-hand) for the entry fee of $130. Cash, venmo or check payable to Danielle Miller. Single test rate of $35 per test to apply for those entering less than 4 tests per horse/ exhibitor team. $20 administration fee for qualification towards the series awards.

    Cowboy Dressage rules to apply to this show for tack, attire and conduct. Exceptions: rookies may ride in a rope halter; saddle without a horn is okay

    Awards:

    Flat ribbons 1st-6th place on every test for each test class. If you show in the same test more than once your second entry will go under test of choice for that division.

    Champion and reserve ribbons, 3rd-5th in the following divisions:

    1. Dressage in Hand

    2. Cowboy Dressage Challenge Court

    3. Cowboy Dressage Flat Court

    4. Western Dressage

    MJ Thorne All-Around Dressage Champion: your combined percentage score from THREE of the FOUR divisions offered. If you show in all four divisions, your lowest score will be discarded. If you show in more than one test in the same division, the lower score will be discarded. Ribbon and prize to Champion and reserve champion

    Linda Goodlett Rookie/ Limited Champion: your combined percentage score from ANY TWO TESTS, ANY DIVISION for those who qualify only! Ribbon and prize to Champion and reserve champion.

    Leslie Landers Award- to be presented to one exhibitor for demonstrating soft feel, outstanding sportsmanship, kind spirit or other outstanding achievement at this event :)

  • Fees:

    Entry fee $130 includes FOUR tests(Maximum per horse/ rider team)

    Single test entry: $35 per test

    Administration fee: $20 per entry

     

    Cowboy Dressage Non-Remuda Fee: $25 (waive this fee by obtaining CDW Membership at https://cowboydressageworld.com/join-us/

    (CDW membership is $50 annual adult/ $15 junior)

    Day pen: $10

    Overnight boarding: $25 per day  includes grass or alfalfa hay

    Clinic fee Saturday March 23: $40 per session 

    Invoice is due upon receipt to secure your spot in this event, check payable to Danielle Miller or Venmo.

Example: POGWJ1 = Partnership on the ground walk jog test 1; WJ2= Cowboy Dressage walk jog test 2, differentiated from CHWJ2= Cowboy Dressage CHALLENGE Court Walk jog test 2. For Western Dressage (WDAA) INTRO 1-4 or BASIC 1-4
