Excursion Information

Wednesday 12/04/2023 - Jump Up Outdoors

Children will travel by seat belted bus to Jump Up Outdoors at St Pauls School in Bald Hills for 4 hours of outdoor adventure play. They will be given the opportunity to take considered risks and engage in loose parts and nature play. 

Travel Details:

Bulimba OSHC to St Pauls school, Bald Hills. 

Depart: 8:45am

Head West on Oxford Street. At the rondabout, that the 4th exit onto Lytton Rd. Continue on Lytton Road/State Route 24. 

Turn left to merge onto M1 towards Gateway Mwy N/Brisbane Airport/Sunshine Coast.

Take exit 123 for Bracken Ridge Rd towards M3/Bracken Rdg/Strathpine

Use any lane to turn right onto Bracken Ridge Rd (signs for M3)

Continue onto Hoyland St

Continue onto Strathpine Rd/State Route 58

Turn right onto Bald Hills Rd

Keep right to stay on Bald Hills Rd

Turn left onto Attunga St

Arrive at St Pauls School, Bald Hills

Arrive 9:35am

 

St Pauls School, Bald Hills to Bulimba OSHC

Depart: 2:30pm

Head north-east on Attunga St towards Seaton St

Turn right onto Bald Hills Rd

Turn left onto Strathpine Rd/State Route 58

Continue straight onto Hoyland St

Continue onto Bracken Ridge Rd

Take the State Rte 26 ramp to Deagon

Keep right at the fork, follow signs for M1 and merge onto M1

Follow M1 to Lytton Rd/State Route 24 in Murarrie.

Take exit 103 for State Rte 24/Lytton Rd towards Murarrie

At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Lytton Rd

Continue straight to stay on Lytton Rd

Turn left onto Thorpe St

Arrive: 3:25pm

 

Other Details:

Please arrive by 8:15am in order for children to receive important excursion information before a 8:45am departure.

Staff to children ratio: 1:10

Approximate number of children attending: 70

Approximate number of educators attending: 10

What to bring: Red, sun safe shirt, backpack with water bottle, wide brimmed hat. Spare change of clothes, including socks, underwear and a towel.

Fully catered. Please do not bring money. 

Extra charge: $36

A Risk Assesment has been prepared for the excursion and is available at the Service. 

The Service also has a Transporting Children Policy and Procedure that is readily available at the Service.

Agreement:

By ticking the consent box below and signing this form, parents/guardians agree to the following :

• I agree to notify the centre by 8am if my child is not attending their booked session.
• I understand that my child will need to arrive by 8:15am in order to receive important information prior to departure. 
• I understand that my child will be attending an excursion off site, as per the travel details listed above if booked for the excursion. Any changes to these details will be communicated immediately.
• I understand that departure time is 8:45am and no phone calls to guardians for children not present will be made after this time.
• I have discussed with my child/ren the importance of following educator directions & instructions (any child displaying inappropriate behaviour will result in a review of ability to attend further excursions).
• I understand there is no refund for cancellations of excursions if notice is not given 7 days prior to the booked session, as per our cancellation policy.
