The George “Dad” Gray Georgia District Scholarship will be awarded to one exceptional Circle K member in Georgia who is in good standing with their Circle K club, Georgia District Circle K, and Circle K International. This year’s recipient will receive a $500 check to be used towards tuition, books, or any other financial need, at the Georgia District Convention.
Dad Gray requested that this scholarship be based on service because, “Service is the very core of Circle K and is what we, as a group, are really all about.” It is because of Dad Gray’s outstanding dedication to service that the 1992-1993 Board of Officers to create this scholarship.
The 1993-94 year was the first year this scholarship was awarded. It was the hope of the 1993-1994 Board of Officers that this would be an annual event. This scholarship is one of the items that the Georgia District Dues provides for its members.
