  • Program Overview

As a participant, you will engage in a full-curriculum leadership training experience that blends personal growth with advanced leadership strategy. This program does not create leaders, it shapes the leader you already are by strengthening self-awareness, strategic thinking, communication, and your ability to lead through change. Upon graduation, you will gain access to the RIBBA's Workforce Alumni Network of over 250 professionals and RIBBA’s at-large network of 1,500+ business owners and partners, state recognition of your achievement, and a micro-credential through the University of Rhode Island Office of Strategic Initiatives, positioning you for greater leadership visibility and career advancement.
  • Program Structure & Commitment

The Emerging Leaders Development Program delivers a full-curriculum, in-person leadership experience held once a month on Tuesdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with a required Meet & Greet Orientation one week prior to the first session. Full participation is required for all session days and orientation, and employer support is essential as sessions occur during work hours. Graduation requirements include a capstone project, peer mentorship, career coaching, and required check-ins, totaling up to 22 additional hours over seven months. Optional networking events and socials will be offered throughout the year and are strongly encouraged. A full schedule will be provided upon acceptance.
  • Application Process

Applicants must submit a completed application, resume, cover letter, and two (2) letters of recommendation. Materials are evaluated for leadership potential and program fit. Selected candidates will be invited to interview, with final decisions made after all stages are complete.
