The NEOnet Board of Directors provides governance and oversight to the strategic direction, financial planning and bylaws according to the mission and mandate of North Eastern Ontario Communications Network Incorporated. Members of the NEOnet Board of Directors represent industry, education, and support agencies throughout Northeastern Ontario and work to drive digital and ICT growth for the region.

We are looking for dedicated volunteers to join our board and help shape the future of NEOnet, while contributing to a growing and thriving digital Northern economy. We are looking for individuals with experience and a background in technology, social services organizations, education, workforce development, telecommunications, Government relations, policy, business, finance, First Nations, and/or municipalities.

NEOnet intends to maintain a diverse Board so that it reflects the diverse landscape of the digital economy in Northeastern Ontario. As part of our efforts towards a more equitable, diverse, inclusive and accessible future in ICT development, we are recruiting to build a diverse board of people of all backgrounds and identities reflective of our culturally connected region.

Committment

Directors hold their positions for a two-year term and are eligible to run for re-election
Attend nine (9) official board meetings throughout the calendar year, including the Annual General Meeting
Attend other meetings as required and needed

Prospective members can also request to review the current organizational Annual Report, Calendar of Events, Corporate By-Laws, and Code of Conduct.
