People using drugs in the open should appear before a Dissuasion Committee and when they are are repeatedly a danger to themselves and others they are sanctioned, as is the case in Portugal or parts of Canada (see footnote)
New York City should shrink the size of the police force in Harlem in 2023 and beyond
Safe consumption site will create negative community impact if they are not widely spread in large numbers in many districts
Background checks should be banned for potential tenants, even for small landlords with 2-3 multi-family units
Loopholes in the well-intended criminal justice reform has worsen crime rates and should be closed to improve street safety and to catch career criminals
