Women's Arts Exchange 2023

We welcome all mediums that include Paintings, Drawings, Printmaking, Photography, Mixed Media, Sculptures, Textiles, Gourds, and anything that is created with your heart and soul.

This registration includes one submission for the registration donation of your choice.  Due to the large number of members in our organization we will be attept to include one piece of art from each artist, however due to limited space at this venue inclusion in this exhibition can not be guaranteed.

This is a one day exhibition, to participate in the exhibition you will need to bring your artwork to the venue (Brick and Beam in Springfield) the morning of Saturday March 25th and pick it up the evening of March 25th in accordance with event timelines. If you or an artist representitive are not available at these times please wait and submit to another show. Exceptions can not be made for this exhibit.

Event participation is not mandatory but highly encouraged for this networking event for artists.

 SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

All submissions must include TITLE, SIZE, MEDIUM, and PRICE.  

Title - Please keep title short within five words

Size - Please include framing and if unframed please make sure that depth of art is at least 2" and painted on all sides.  If the work is photographs and is available in varying sizes please note this on your application.

Medium - Please list all mediums and if top coat is oil on acrylic it should be listed as an oil painting.

Price - Please include FemArt commission of 30% when figuring your sale price.  Price should not be less than $100.00 as we are trying to increase the value of women's artwork but we also don't want work to be overpriced.  Please consider the cost to make the art and your time and what the art means to you.

Submissions without all four descriptors will be inelligable for display in this exhibition.

We cannot accept submissions smaller than 7 in x 7 in or larger than 56" wide .

Disclosure Statement for Artist Submission

Answering a Call to Artists with FemArt is not just promoting your work but also contributing to FemArt's mission to support and promote all women artists. 

• ​We ask for a registration fee in the form of a donation for this show that is tax deductible and is reinvested to support our shows and grow our efforts to give women a visual voice in our culture.  (If this is a factor that will keep you from joining our exhibit we ask that you request a financial waiver or special circumstances so that we can get your voice seen in our shows without a financial burden.  E-mail us your request for consideration if life is presenting unusual challenges for you right now and we will be happy to offer support.)
• ​FemArt Gallery, Inc. also takes a 30% commission from the sales of artwork that is in our shows.  FemArt will reinvest 30% that is tax deductible for you to claim at the end of the tax year.  This is not a fee that can be waived and we ask that artists price their work with this consideration.
• INSURANCE - FemArt Gallery, Inc. and owners of the building do not provide insurance for artwork that is exhibited.  We highly recommend that every artist have their work insured for damage or loss during a Femart event.  FemArt Gallery, Inc. is not responsible for any damage or loss of artwork in transit or exhibition timeframe.  The gallery building is also relinquished from any responsibility for any damage or loss of artwork. 
• FemArt requires all works intended for potential sale during a show be ready to hang or assembled for exbibition (see our submission guidelines), and dropped off for storage with FemArt on a date to be determined once submission closes. Sale of works hanging in an exhibition will be handled by FemArt directly.
