    WeBreak Hip-Hop Dance Company is a bboy-owned organization specializing in youth breaking programs. We are consistently hiring for our expanding Southern California, Portland, and Las Vegas regions. Breaking experience is required.

    This is a job application and a pre-screening tool WeBreak uses to verify you will be a good fit; please answer honestly and read thoroughly. Those who are qualified will be invited to an online interview.

    • We only want to see your breaking in the video—no other dance styles or dancers.

  • Qualifying Questions

  • Important notes to review:

    • If you are located over 15 minutes outside of our service region(s), please still apply to be considered.
    • Having access to reliable transportation is essential due to our mobile operations, insurance requirements, and the gear needed to be transported for some classes.
    • WeBreak works with schools, therefore the following are required for employment:
      • Clear background check
      • Negative TB test
      • COVID vaccination / testing (until schools no longer require it)

  • Breaking Experience

    Breaking experience is required for this position. Please provide more details about your personal breaking experience, and other experiences within the community.

  • Teaching Experience

    Prior teaching experience is not mandatory, but preferred. WeBreak provides paid training to all coaches - you start teaching classes by yourself after you have completed training. We are looking to work with bgirls and bboys who are teachable, team players, communicative, and actively motivated to train.
  • Please fill out the following questions honestly and thoroughly, so we may get a clear picture what teaching experience you have. WeBreak primarily works with students between the ages of 3 to 12 years old, in group class settings; we hire coaches who have past experience with this age group and/or are willing and passionate about learning and working with the youth despite its challenges.

  • WeBreak Hours, Benefits & Pay

    All coaches are W-2 employees, with consistent hours, and are paid bi-weekly. Training is paid. We request that you be available to teach at least three days after school. Please fill out the following honestly and thoroughly.
  • WeBreak's Typical Class Hours:

    • Preschool classes (Monday-Friday, 1 hour between 9 AM - 12 PM)
    • Afterschool classes (Monday-Friday, 1-2 hours between 1 PM - 6 PM)
    • Week-day studio class (week-day night, 2 hours, around 5 PM - 7 PM)
    • Weekend studio class (Saturday, 2 hours from 9 AM - 11 AM)
    • WeBreak Crew (week-day night, 2 hours, around 6 PM - 8 PM)
    • Private lessons and booked events (days and times vary)
  • WeBreak's Part-Time Breaking Coach Benefits:

  • Two Year Commitment / Career Goals

    Since WeBreak invests heavily in training and partners with schools for long-term programs, we request that coaches commit to two years of teaching. We understand things can come up in life, but we are looking for individuals who are motivated to, and are in the position to commit to working with WeBreak for at least two years.
