This registration is for Term 2 and 3, 2023. All players must register.

One form to be completed in full for each applicant. 

Registrations close: Friday 3rd March 2023, at 3pm

No registrations will be accepted after this date.

Please note: without parent volunteers to coach and manage we are unable to enter teams, we require coaches and managers for every team prior to entering teams with Tauranga Basketball in week 1 of Term 2.

PLAYER COMMITMENT 

Years 3-4: Tuesday afternoon and evening at Trustpower Arena or QEII Stadium.

Years 5-6: Friday afternoon and evening at Trustpower Arena or QEII Stadium.

Years 7-8: Monday afternoon and evening at Trustpower Arena.

Years 9-13: Wednesday afternoon and evening for Senior A girls and boys, and Junior A and B boys at Trustpower Arena or QEII Stadium.  Friday afternoon and evening for other Senior and Junior teams at Trustpower Arena.

New Zealand Secondary School Tournament Week (Senior A boys team): Wednesday 30th August - Saturday 2nd September 2023

Training times will be confirmed once the teams have been announced.

  

TRIALS

Years 7-13 trials are scheduled for the 11th March and the schedule for these will be advised after registrations close.

All female basketballers will be put into a female team by the Sports Office.

Year 3-6 teams are put together by the Sports Office. No trials required.

 

FINANCIAL COMMITMENT

Term 2 and 3 2023 Playing fees

2023 fees have been estimated based on 2022 fees and can be seen in the 'fees & terms' tab on the BC Basketball secondary website here or primary website here.

Approximate season fees

Years 3-6: $130

Years 7-8: $170

Years 9-13: $195

Senior A boys: $195 plus winter tournament deposit, S&C.

*The Senior boys tournament team going to the New Zealand Secondary School Tournament Week in term 3 will be charged an entry fee, coach fee and any other expenses associated with tournament separately. Another jotform will be sent closer to the time. Note: the non-refundable (except for cancellation due to Covid) tournament deposit is included in the season fee.

Fees are charged upon a student registering and being placed in a team.  If a player decides to withdraw after being placed in a team they will still be liable for full payment. Bethlehem College has to commit to expenses associated with the teams once registrations are completed.

  

UNIFORM

Years 3-13: BC Basketball uniform of singlet and shorts will be issued by BC Sports Office

 

 

EQUIPMENT

Basketball players need to provide their own sports shoes, socks and mouth guard.
