Course Description
Homes located in the southeastern United States require attention at eight key points to be successful: more healthy, comfortable, efficient and durable. Join us to review these eight key points, how to prioritize them, the decisions surrounding them and their cost.
We’ll see better homes don’t need to cost more to build, should be less expensive to operate and less expensive to maintain. You can apply these methods to new construction and renovation projects – even if your renovation is focused exclusively on better performance.
We’ll conclude with a review of how to communicate the value of a better home so that value isn’t lost in listing descriptions, MLS inputs and appraisals.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Identify the eight most statistically impactful priorities for houses in the southeastern United States.
- Explain how the building components of a home work together to affect health, comfort and performance/efficiency of homes.
- Compare the prioritization of first cost of construction with ongoing costs, including soft costs.
- Describe how construction budgets can be best allocated to the most impactful priorities.
This course is approved for 3 hours of CE credit by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. All are welcome to attend - even if you're not a real estate agent or broker.
