Our Covid-19 Plan:

The San Diego Suzuki Institute is planning on an IN PERSON EVENT for its 2022 summer session. We plan to do everything possible to safely host an in person institute experience. We will follow all recommended safety guidelines at the time of our event and make adjustments to our classes in accordance with these guidelines such as outdoor classes, limiting class sizes, social distancing, requiring masks, etc.

Please note the dates of each class as they cannot conflict!

The San Diego Suzuki Institute is registered with the national association and, therefore, adheres to all teacher training guidelines set forth by this association. All course pre-requisites are listed on the website here. You may also read through the Suzuki Association of the Americas guidelines here.

All course participants are welcome to observe any student classes. If you are NOT interested in teacher training but would like to come and observe the classes, the fee is $25 a day or $100 for all five days. Observers will receive a name badge. For security reasons, anyone without a visible badge may be asked to leave.

Refund Policy:

In the event that you decide to cancel your registration, notify the San Diego Suzuki Institute in writing. There is a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee per participant. The payment of all other fees will be returned if email or postal notice of cancellation is received by June 15.

Due to commitments to faculty and travel plans, applicants who withdraw June 16-30 receive a 50% refund of fees (less the $100 non-refundable cancellation fee per participant). Withdrawal July 1 and after forfeit all fees.

If enrollment is full or a teacher-training course is canceled, all registration and course fees will be refunded.

COVID-19 WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND POLICIES

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious potentially life-threatening illness and even death. The San Diego Suzuki Institute cannot prevent you or your child(ren) from becoming exposed to, contracting or spreading COVID-19 while attending the San Diego Suzuki Institute or being on its premises. It is not possible to prevent against the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you choose to attend the San Diego Suzuki Institute, and/or enter onto Point Loma Nazarene University's premises you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I have read and understood the above warning concerning COVID-19. I hereby choose to accept the risk of contracting COVID-19 for myself and/or my child(ren) in order to utilize the San Diego Suzuki Institute’s services and enter the San Diego Suzuki Instiute and Point Loma Nazarene University’s premises. These services are of such value to me and/or my child(ren) that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to utilize the San Diego Suzuki Instiute’s services and premises in person.

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY: I hereby forever release and waive my right to bring suit against the San Diego Suzuki Institute and its agents and employees, volunteers, board members and other representatives in connection with exposure, infection and/or spread of COVID-19 related to utilizing the San Diego Suzuki Institute’s services and premises. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, disease or property losses, or any other loss, including but not limited to claims of negligence and give up any claim I may have to seek damages whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

SAFETY POLICIES: Both myself (or any adult entering the premises) and my child will adhere to any/all safety policies put into place by the San Diego Suzuki Institute at the time of the event. This may include handwashing and mask wearing. I understand that not following these safety measures may result in expulsion from the San Diego Suzuki Institute with no refund given. All eligible parties are strongly encouraged to receive a COVID-19 vaccine at least one month prior to the start of the San Diego Suzuki Institute
