Being Dog training is based on the kindest, most effective, non-punitive methods. We carefully design and structure our training programs to the best they can be for dog and owners.
We provide these terms and conditions for the safety of our clients, their family, their pets and the public and for you to get maximum benefit from the training sessions.
1) Harsh handling is not permitted. We have a complete ban on choke chains, e-collars, or other cohercitive or punitive techniques. We may terminate the session if you are harsh with your dog.
2) Dogs must be kept on lead in public areas, unless otherwise instructed by your trainer. We are there to help but you are responsible for the conduct of your dog at all times.
3) Being Dog cannot accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to any person or property, including when out on a training session. You agree to indemnify Being Dog in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties.
4) We rely on your honesty about the dogs' temperament and history, the amount of, and severity of any nervousness and aggression. We will not judge but need this information to assess the risk factor to us and the public.
5) Upon arrival, your dog might need to be secured in a different room, behind a stair gate or on a lead. Please follow the instructions you were given at the time of booking.
6) Children are very welcome to attend training sessions - we see the best results when all family members are involved in the training! However, for the sake of safety and consistency in training, young people under the age of 16 must be with an adult at all times. Children who make a lot of noise or dash about can frighten dogs or teach them to chase children. Parents might wish to sit down with their children before their training session to explain how important it is for them to listen and be involved.
7) Please let us know if your dog is not in a fit state to train due to illness, disease, injury,or any other reason.
8) All fees for packages need to be paid in advance. If you have bought a package, but cannot continue training with us, we are happy to provide a refund for the remaining sessions in the package, minus any discount that the package provided.
9) We understand that life happens, but please remember to gives us 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule a training session. In the event of sickness or an emergency, we are happy to reschedule if given 24 hours notice. Otherwise, full cost will be charged for non-appearance or cancellation if less than 48 hours notice is given.
10) Whilst your trainer strives to avoid changes and/or cancellations, Being Dog reserves the right to cancel or change an appointment at any time by notice. Your booked sessions will be rescheduled at the next available opportunity.
11) We occasionally take phorographs and recordings during sessions for promotional purposes - and to share with you. These are generally welcomed by our clients, but we understand if you do not want photographs taken, just let us know. We will never pass your details without your consent.
