Payment and Cancellation Policies* This field is required.For extended stay bookings (>5 nights, or over $500) a 25% deposit will be taken at booking/2-months before to secure spot, and this may be fully refunded if cancellation is made with appropriate notice. Payment in full is required 1-month before booking for extended stay bookings, there is a 2-week cancellation policy. Payment for overnight bookings (1 - 4 nights, or under $500) are required 2-weeks before booking, there is a 1-week cancellation policy. If cancellation notice is not adhered to, first night of stay will be forfeited (except in extenuating circumstances). There is a $50 non-refundable booking fee for >$500 or during school holiday periods. We hope you understand our cancellation policies as we get many bookings and late cancellations can affect our day and we may not be able to fill your dog’s spot.

Property Damage* This field is required.In the event that your dog causes damage to property or personal belongings exceeding the value of $50, compensation may be requested to cover the cost of repair or replacement. Such requests will only be made if the incident is directly witnessed by staff or the owner.

Injuries and Incidents* This field is required.At Sunshine Paws, your dog’s well-being and safety are always a top priority. While we provide close supervision and take every precaution to prevent incidents, our group outings take place in public environments such as parks and beaches, where interactions with other dogs and people can occur. While we do everything we can to minimise risk, active play and social environments naturally carry some level of unpredictability, and on rare occasions, accidents or altercations may happen. All Staff Members at Sunshine Paws are trained in animal first aid and carry a fully stocked first aid kit to treat minor injuries as needed. We also implement risk management procedures including meet-and-greets and behavioural assessments to ensure compatibility and safety for regular group bookings. Sunshine Paws holds public liability insurance which covers third-party injury or property damage, but this does not include vet expenses for dogs injured while in care. It's the responsibility of each owner to have suitable pet insurance in place to cover any unexpected veterinary costs. In the event of an injury or dog fight, responsibility for any damages will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Wherever possible, we will seek to identify the cause and discuss responsibility with the owners involved. If one dog is clearly at fault, we will aim to work with that owner to cover reasonable costs. However, as accidents can happen even with the best precautions in place, Sunshine Paws cannot guarantee reimbursement and does not automatically accept liability for injuries sustained while dogs are in our care.

Emergency Policy* This field is required.Sometimes, being away from home can cause a dog to feel stressed and unsettled. Unfortunately, this can cause some reactive and negative behaviours. If your dog has significant stress signals, aggressive or destructive behaviours in our care we will do everything we can to calm them however we may require you to pick them up within 24 hours if we cannot settle your dog/s. If you are unable to collect them yourself due to being away, you must provide an emergency contact here who will be able to take them for the duration of the booking. If we cannot keep your dog due to behaviour issues, we will refund the remainder of the booking cost. Please understand that we must keep all the dogs in our care and ourselves safe and we will only use this as a last resort. Please provide below an emergency contact name and number.
