  • ARD Advocacy Program Application

Please complete one form per child.  Each case will be evaluated by an advocate to determine if ARD Advocacy is appropriate for your situation.   If approved, the Advocate is assigned to a single student's case and, each case will be given a limited amount of time.  Advocates will only discuss the student to which he/she was assigned and will not provide counsel regarding other family members.
  • About The Program

  • If application is approved, Noggin Educational Foundation will provide Parent or Guardian with a qualified and experienced ARD Advocate & Consultant, who will represent the family & provide guidance throughout the ARD process such as: 1. Complete review of current IEP, 2. Consultation to determine the services needed for student to flourish academically, behaviorally, & socially, 3. Communication with school representatives on behalf of parents, 4. Determination of a need for further testing & appropriate guidance to obtain testing when necessary, 5. ARD meeting attendance with parent (either in person or virtually) to provide real time guidance through the negotiation process between parent and school representative, 6. Extra services as needed, determined by ARD Advocate. ARD Advocates will not provide diagnosis or therapy for students. Noggin's ARD Advocacy program offers limited advocacy and consulting services to each student/parent based on available funding. Prior to providing services, the ARD Advocate will conduct a 20 minute consultation to determine the advocacy needs of the student/parent. The ARD advocate will provide a proposal with recommended services and estimated time allowed for the student's case. Additional services beyond the scope of the proposal should not be rendered without prior approval by Noggin Educational Foundation. Additional services rendered beyond the scope of the proposal will be charged to the Parent or Guardian. One of the goals of the ARD Advocacy program is to equip parents with the tools to become their own advocates as we can only provide services to families on a limited basis.
