• You are Invited! Participate in Lenten Sermon Discussion Groups - An Opportunity for Unity in Discipleship!

    Lent is traditionally a time in which we are encouraged to practice spiritual disciplines as a means of grace, to be awakened to God’s presence, and to be transformed to living in the way of Christ. Throughout the Lenten season, Holy Week and Easter, Pastor James will lead us in a thoughtful sermon series, “Drink from the Fountain of Grace.” We encourage your participation in an act of churchwide Lenten discipline by participating in group devotion, reflective discussion and prayer, deepening your understanding of the messages that we have heard.

  • Here are four ways that you can participate, using a discussion guide developed for each of the sermons on Sundays during Lent (prior to Palm Sunday):

    1.       Wednesday evenings, March 1 through March 29 (excl. March 15), 6:30 – 7:30 pm, in room  110 MB, join a guided discussion group following the Wednesday night church supper. These discussions will be facilitated by Rev. Mac Kinnett.   Please register for the guided discussion group by filling out the fields below including your name, email address and phone number.

    2.       Sunday school classes or other small groups are invited to download the 5 discussion guides and use them either in full class sessions, or in some form of devotion during their meetings in Lent;

    3.       Form your own Lenten sermon small group discussion, meeting at your convenience at various times and places during the season. Groups might include two or more persons who meet for prayer and reflective discussion over coffee, lunch, after work, etc.;

    4.       Individually set a quiet time each week to devote yourself to using the study guide to reflect on the sermon of that week.
