What is Crown Club?

Crown Club is a Service Project of the JA of Amory, Mississippi. Its purpose is to provide high school young women an opportunity to grow through service to others in our community. The program will promote leadership skills with our youth and will instill in them an appreciation for volunteering. Junior Auxiliary members will be present at all meetings as well as all projects. What are the requirements of Crown Club?

- Members must attend 5 Chapter Meetings throughout the year.

- Members must complete 10 service hours.

- Members must complete 2 finance hours.

- Members must pay yearly dues of $36 (This includes dues and t-shirts).

-NO recommendation letter required this year!
Who can Join Crown Club?

Prospective members shall be considered eligible for membership if they:

- Attend school within Monroe County

- Will be entering the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade

- Has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75

- Possess leadership ability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work

Why Should You Join?

To be a member of a group of girls with the goal of serving the community, who throughout the year make lasting friends, memories and touch the hearts of everyone whom they help.

Crown Club Dues

2023 - 2024
∙ Dues for the service year 2023-2024 will be $36. Dues must be paid in full within two weeks of notification of acceptance. Accepted applicants who have not paid dues at this time will be replaced with a waitlisted applicant.

∙ Participation in Crown Club fundraisers is required. More information will be announced in July of 2023.

∙ Crown Club members will be expected to dress in a manner respectful to their representation of the Junior Auxiliary of Amory. Crown Club shirts and school appropriate pants/shorts/skirts must be worn at all service events.

∙ Incomplete or late application packets will be placed on the waitlist.

Application Checklist:

o Completed application by May 31st, 2023.

o Letter of commitment signed by Crown Club applicant and parent or legal guardian

*Returning members: Good Standing

o Photograph release form signed by parent or legal guardian
**Acceptance letters will be either e-mailed or sent to given address by July 1st, 2023.

**Upon acceptance, dues are to be paid by July 19th, 2023.

By submitting this application, I understand that I am agreeing to fulfill my obligations as outlined in the Crown Club handbook, including completing 10 service hours at Crown Club approved events, attending a minimum of 5 chapter meetings, obtaining 2 finance hours, and paying dues. I understand that if I do not fulfill all obligations I may be placed on probation or released from the organization.

I understand that when I do not show up to complete service hours after signing up that organizations are left without adequate volunteer staffing, and that this reflects poorly on the Crown Club and Junior Auxiliary of Amory.

I understand that Crown Club is a service organization dedicated to serving the children and elderly of Amory.
