Call for Roster of Municipal Subject Matter Advisors
Want to help build our AMCTO advocacy agenda but need more flexibility than being a member of a formal working group or committee? For the first time, we are establishing a Roster of Municipal Subject Matter Advisors to provide technical input when their experience and specialties are in alignment with AMCTO advocacy priorities, projects, or initiatives. We are asking members to self-identify their interest in being 'on call' as supplemental sources of insight for AMCTO policy and government relations staff. The list may also be used to support other AMCTO priorities.
Application Deadline:

This will be an ongoing call for expression of interest. Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis.

What to expect?

From time to time, AMCTO staff may contact you seeking your input and advice on the policy or service matter that you have indicated your experience with. These could be on proactive policy positions AMCTO is advancing out of our Issue Profile, or on proposals put forward by the federal or provincial governments.

The contact may be one-off calls or meetings inquiring about how something works or would work day-to-day, alternative solutions to those proposed by the federal or provincial governments or other municipal associations.

From time to time, AMCTO is asked to select members to participate in short-term ministry consultations on a particular issue. AMCTO will use this roster to seek member interest in participating in these groups which are usually confidential in nature.
