FBCH & MCB VolunTeen Application Form Summer 2023

***All Volunteers MUST be vaccinated for the Flu and verification submitted to the Red Cross Office***

The American Red Cross is excited to host, in-person, our 2023 VolunTEEN Summer Program. This year's program will run July 10th through August 11th, 2023 at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital & Marine Corps Base Quantico Naval Health Clinic. The VolunTEEN Program offers high school students ages 14 to 17 the opportunity to engage in and learn about medicine and the American Red Cross.

Applications accepted Wednesday, February 15, 2023 through Monday, March 27, 2023. All Applications and letters of recommendations must be received, via email, by 4pm on Monday, March 27th, 2023. Acceptance emails will be sent on Friday, April 17th, 2023.

If accepted, all VolunTEENS must clear Occupational Health and completed forms must be submitted to the office, via email, by Monday, June 12, 2023 at 4pm.

Orientation will be held Saturday, June 3 & Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Red Cross house located at 9716 Middleton Rd, Fort Belvor, VA, 22060. *You MUST attend one orientation, teens only!

***Program is 5 weeks long, you must volunteer 4 of the 5 weeks MINIMUM

The program runs 10 July through 11 August. You are required to attend a minimum of 4 weeks of the 5 week program. Teens must be between the ages of 14-17 and be a United States citizen (this is a DoD regulation).

Specify the days and shifts you are available to work. Select at least 2 shifts, you must have a minimum of 8 hours per week. Location assignment is based on your availability. List departments or areas of the hospital you are interested in working in.
