NEW & RETURNING STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in Bethesda Lutheran School and Early Learning Center. It is our goal that through this application and enrollment process you will get to know and become familiar with our School and ELC. Our purpose is to partner with families to share the Gospel and love of Jesus while providing an excellent Christ-centered education. If your child was enrolled in 2022 – 2023, please update any information which has changed in the past year, including immunizations. Otherwise, follow the New Student Application Procedures below.

NEW STUDENT APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Fill out and submit Forms 1 – 4.
     Form 1 New Student Application and Questionnaire, Front and Back

     Form 2 Student Information Sheet (parents of new students must attach a copy of birth certificate and current immunization record)

     Form 3 Tuition & Fees Plan and/or Summer Care Contract Form

     Form 4 Emergency Information and Miscellaneous Health Information Forms

Call to schedule a tour to familiarize yourself with our campus and programs. Prospective parents and students are welcome to sit in on lessons if they wish.
Set up a time for a parent/student consultation with the school Administrator/staff.
Acceptance or non-acceptance will be determined by the school Administrator. Students accepted for admission to Bethesda Lutheran School and ELC will receive notice by phone, email, or letter. Once notified of acceptance parents will have two weeks to state if they accept enrollment at BLC & ELC. If we have not heard by the stated deadline, the space will be released to the next applicant on the waiting list.

Transportation for your child can be arranged through Prairie Hills Transit. A bus will pick your child up at Bethesda immediately after school and transport him or her either to the Hot Springs Public School bussing area to join a sibling on the ride home, or to the Boys and Girls Club for the remainder of the afternoon to wait for parental transportation. Ask for Information at the office.

TUITION & FEES

FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

Tuition is due monthly in advance, for the time period of the 16th through the 15th of each monthly cycle. Alternately, parents may pay by the year and receive a 2% discount. Members of Bethesda Lutheran Church receive a member’s discount on Tuition only. Financial aid is available through South Dakota Partners in Education or through the Bethesda Lutheran Church School Board.

REGISTRATION FEES INCLUDE APPLICATION FEE AND MATERIALS FEE (a textbook and consumable supply fee due at time of registration)

TUITION RATES

EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDENTS

    Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten (M – TH, 3 through 5 years old) 8 am-12 noon $255/month

    Preschool Plus Child Care (M – TH, 3 through 5 years old) 7:15 am – 5:30 pm $590/month

    Child Care Fridays (3 through 8 years old) 7:15 am – 5:30 pm $130/month

    After-school Child Care (K through 3rd grade) 3:45 – 5:30 pm $130/month

    Hourly (drop-in) Child Care (child must be registered--subject to availability) $4/hour

GRADES K – 3 STUDENTS

    Community (Bethesda Lutheran Church non-members) $385/month

Bethesda Church Member rates

    Bethesda Lutheran Church members in good standing (Preschool only) $195/month

    Bethesda Lutheran Church members in good standing (Preschool plus childcare) $530/month

    Bethesda Lutheran Church members in good standing (K – 4) $225/month

EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

Online forms are not HIPAA compliant, so the Emergency Medical Authorization portion of this registration packet will need to be filled out personally and given to the office.
