If my commissions are currently closed and you'd like to have a guaranteed slot next round, you can get a spot on the waitlist for a $5 fee. The fee is to prevent too many people from getting on the list (especially those who don't seriously intend to get a commission), which would defeat the purpose of having a waitlist. If you change your mind later on, the fee will be refunded.

Other benefits

Q: What if there end up being plenty of slots available anyway when commissions open next? Wouldn't there be no point in having paid the waitlist fee?
A: Once commissions open, waitlist slots will take priority in the queue over normal ones, so you will still have an advantage.

Note: If there are more people on the waitlist than there are slots planned for the next round, the remaining individuals will be notified and given a choice between waiting another round for their slot or canceling for a refund.
