Geographic Boundaries
While our Studio Tour takes place in Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, Erie and Longmont, participating artists do not have to live or work in these communities. However, member artists are required to show their work during the studio tour within our geographic boundaries. EBCA has numerous artists who will happily share their studio space with those living outside our East Boulder County boundaries.
Our geographic boundries for the studio tour are:
♦ North: Hwy 66
♦ South: Superior
♦ East: Town of Erie
♦ West: 75th Street
Meetings & Social Events
EBCA members are usually updated on a monthly basis via email. These emails cover various aspects of planning for the Tour, outreach activities and other shows. There are three required all member meetings during the year. Once a month there are optional social and/or business of art gatherings which provide an opportunity to socialize and allow artists to share their craft and experiences with the group. Members will also meet regularly with their volunteer committees. All artists are welcome and encouraged to attend Board meetings.
Fundraising
As a small, volunteer non-profit organization, we are dependent upon the financial support of local individuals, businesses and corporations as well as community foundations and grants. Although not required, members are asked to help secure a minimum of $200 in donations for EBCA.
A Word About Email
Group communications throughout the year take place largely via email and at the general meetings. We require that all members have an active email address (one that is checked at least weekly).
Volunteer Commitment
The success of our Tour is dependent upon the talents of our members. In addition to meetings, each member agrees to contribute a minimum 5 volunteer hours per year. Members will be placed into interest based committees, and have opportunity to choose specific volunteer jobs at our first General Meeting in September.
Outreach
EBCA sponsors numerous outreach activities within our communities – demonstrating at local festivals, staffing a booth, teaching or assisting with workshops. Artists can volunteer their time, and in some cases receive payment for qualifiying.
