Sew Powerful is sponsoring a Sewing Retreat at Stitchin' Heaven, in Quitman, TX. The retreat center is less than a year old and was built specifically as a sewing center. It has every modern convenience you can imagine. Stitchin' Heaven is located about a 2 hour drive east of Dallas, Texas. It is within a 5 hour drive of several major metropolitan areas as well as within reasonable driving distance of major airports. If you plan to fly to the Retreat, please work with us to coordinate arrival times so we can assist in transportation to/from the airport.

The objectives of this retreat are to build friendships, expand our knowledge of Sew Powerful, spend time in the Word, learn some new sewing techniques, make some purses and other crafty items, to laugh a lot, and have loads of fun!

We hope you can join us! The retreat is only open to the first 24 who register.

SEW POWERFUL MISSION

Sew Powerful is a Christian ministry that combats extreme poverty by creating jobs that provide training and tools to facilitate the creation of purposeful products. These include purses, school uniforms, reusable hygiene pads, soap, and farm fresh food. All designed to promote and enable the academic success of children throughout Zambia, while providing the dignity of work for adults.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4 and 4:15.
We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. Mission Statement and Statement of Faith*

I have read and understand the Sew Powerful Mission Statement and Statement of Faith. I also understand that Christian devotionals will be offered during the retreat and my participation in the devotionals is optional.
Release of Liability*

By submitting this registration form, I hereby fully release and hold harmless Sew Powerful, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, its Founders, Board of Directors, Officers, Leadership Committee, and all Sew Powerful volunteers associated with the Sew Powerful Sewing Retreat ("retreat"), from claims of bodily injury or illness to myself, and/or for loss or damage to my property during travel to/from the retreat and/or during my attendance at the retreat. I hereby attest I am at least 18 years old and accept these terms.
Non-Refundable Payment

I understand that my payment today, whether in full or as a partial deposit, is non-refundable. Under certain circumstances, should it be absolutely necessary for you to cancel your participation, you can request a refund by contacting Jan Cancila - janc@sewpowerful.org. IF there is someone on the waiting list who can pay in full and take your place, we will reimburse your payments less a $75 processing fee.
FINAL STEP - To complete your registration a payment of $400 USD is required to participate in the retreat. This should be considered non-refundable. You can make your payments in full today or in two installments: $225 today and $175 no later than May 1st.
