Assiniboine Park Conservancy Field Trip Funding Program
As part of our mandate to create accessible programming, we have created an array of programs suitable for all ages, backgrounds and skill levels.
We have secured funding to assist Manitoba schools with program fees and a portion of the transportation cost to Assiniboine Park & Zoo.
If your class is in need of field trip financial assistance please submit the form below. Priority will be given to low socio-economic and rural schools, but all applications will be reviewed.
If you are applying for more than one class, please submit each class separately. Each class is required to complete an online evaluation post-program.
School funding in limited to one application per year per class.
Summer funding (July-August) is limited to only one per facility, regardless of the number of classes.
Assistance Available - Applications for the 2023/2024 school year is now OPEN. Applications for the summer of 2024 (July and August) will open in June.
Zoo Access:
- Up to $375 to go towards the admission and programming cost of a 60-90 minute program at the Zoo (excluding May-June)
- During the months of May-June, up to $250 for a self-guided visit
- Additional costs must be paid for by the school
- Funding not used will go back to Parkshare for other funded groups
Park Access:
- Up to $200 to go towards the admission and programming cost to attend the 90 minute Nature Photography in the Park program (only available Sept. - Oct. and Apr.)
- Additional costs must be paid for by the school
- Funding not used will go back to Parkshare for other funded groups
Leaf Access:
- Up to $250 to go towards the admission and programming cost to attend a 90-120 minute program at the Leaf (excluding May-June)
- During the months of May-June, up to $150 towards the cost of a self-guided visit
- Additional costs must be paid for by the school
- Funding not used will go back to Parkshare for other funded groups
