Business Partner of the Year
The Business Partner of the Year Award has demonstrated growth in its employment, production, and/or operations and has a substantial history of success. It has a positive social and/or economic impact on the Bonham area. The recipient must have shown outstanding growth, significant achievements in innovation, and superior community involvement through the commitment of time and resources. The Nominee must be an active Partner of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce.

American Patriot Garage - American Patriot Garage is located at 2011 N Center Street and was established in 2022. In 3 short years they have become Bonham’s premier full service auto garage by offering oil changes, lift kits, wheels, tires, air bags, bed liners, window tinting, wheel alignments, race fuel & more with free consultations and estimates.
Credit Union of Texas - Credit Union of Texas opened their doors to Bonham in June of 2024, but they began reaching out to serve the community before that date through their Community Engagement program which participated in over 100 events partnering with school and numerous nonprofits to uplift and strengthen the community. In addition, CUTX invested over $60,000 back into the Bonham community and Fannin County and have served thousands of meals through their outreach to the community.
Neighbors Place Winery - Established in 2021, Neighbors Place Winery has become one of Bonham’s most popular spots for dinner, entertainment, special events and of course wine tasting. They attract visitors from all over northeast Texas and southern Oklahoma to not only enjoy what they have to offer, but also to visit Bonham’s retailers, restaurants, hotels/Airbnb, and historical sites.
Pierson & Fendley Insurance -Established in 1917, the Farm N’ Home Casualty was originally opened as the Dorough Agency by founder Henry Dorough. In 1944, Max Undersee became an acting partner and the agency became Undersee-Dorough Agency. Fast forward to 1988 when John Farris purchased the agency and the name was changed to Farm N’ Home Casualty. Yet another purchase followed in 2011 by Pierson & Fendley. No matter the name, Pierson & Fendley Bonham remains the second oldest insurance agency in Fannin County, with a dedication to the community and upholding a rich history in the agriculture insurance needs of the county for over 108 years.
Fannin County Leader - The Fannin County Leader has been the “Paper of Record” for Fannin County since HB 2898 was passed in 2003. Published every Tuesday, the Leader provides Fannin County with up-to-date news, editorials, and advertisement opportunities. The paper contributes and supports all local organizations and schools as well as providing the community with updates on local politics and events.
Fannin Federal Credit Union -Fannin Federal Credit Union got its start as the Bonham VA Center CU with only 9 members in 1966. Fannin Federal Credit Union provides all of the benefits of a member-owned financial institution to persons who live, work, worship, attend school or own a business or other legal entities located in Fannin County. It continues to thrive as one of Bonham's foremost financial institutions.
Starbucks - The BACOC officially welcomed Starbucks into the chamber family on October 16, 2023. The excitement was contagious as the addition of Starbucks also ushered in additional beverage and restaurant opportunities to Bonham that were previously limited to our outlying metro cities. Toya and her staff consistently provide service with a smile and have become a loyal supporter of the Chamber’s Tune-In Tuesdays.
TXB - In August of 2024, TXB opened its new flagship location on Hwy 121 to the public, coming full circle back to their roots which started in Bonham almost 50 years ago. The newest location in Bonham serves freshly made meals, hand-pressed tortillas, grab-and-go fresh snacks, TXB’s famous tacos and tenders and an in-store Subway. Other features at this site include DEF fuel, EV charging stations and a shaded outdoor seating area. The TXB initiative is to “Leave ‘Em Better” by continually providing guests with southern hospitality and superior fresh-made food at an unbeatable value. TXB stands for Texas Born which means TXB holds true to the Texas values they've built their brand around: authenticity, integrity and hospitality. TXB truly believes in giving back to the communities where we serve. Annual recipients include CASA, Women Rock, Bonham Kiwanis, Fannin Walk 4 Hope Suicide Prevention are just a few of the many programs that we support. TXB employs 84 individuals in Bonham with 46 as team members at their 121 Flagship store. The Texas Workforce Commission honored TXB Stores as the region’s 2024 Local Employer of Excellence.
Vector Systems -Vector Systems, Inc. was founded in 1987 with the goal to provide the finest process control solutions in the market. Based in McKinney, Vector Systems opened their Bonham location in 2019. Their total employment is 94 with a support staff of 10 in the Bonham location. Dustin Davinia, President/CEO dove into service in the community as Director on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, being voted Chair-Elect for 2025. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the American Boiler Manufacturer’s Association. Vector Systems became a key supporter of Autumn in Bonham by constructing and donating multiple signage for the 2024 bike rally and was a multiple level sponsor for the 2024 Chamber golf tournament. Vector Systems is also a generous sponsor for 2025 Bonham Heritage Days Festival. The Vector Systems staff generously donated their time in 2024 by providing a rest stop for Autumn in Bonham, assisting in the construction of Lollipop Lane, and organizing the car show at the Autumn in Bonham festival.

New Business Partner of the Year
The New Business of the Year Award is to recognize a new Chamber member operating for more than one year and less than three years that has gained an expanding positive reputation. Judging for this award should be based on potential community impact, use of innovation and technology as well as business growth. The nominee must be an active Partner of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce.

3D Security - What started out of a garage in Henderson, Texas in 1990, 3D Security has grown into a preeminent security integrator in East Texas. With an office in Bonham, they have an eye toward growth in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana to fill the need of providing unique & difficult security solutions. By pursuing top level security technology, they have become a best of class integrator known for their service.

Vidal Elevated Aesthetics - Established in 2022, Vidal Elevated Aesthetics specializes in advanced aesthetic and wellness treatments. Their services include Botox, dermal fillers, biostimulators, PRP hair restoration, microneedling, IV hydration, vitamin injections, and cutting-edge laser treatments, all administered by a certified staff of professionals. Initially beginning in one small room at a local Spa, they have grown to larger salon space with multiple treatment areas with plans to expand. Their unique services attract customers throughout Northeast Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

Agriculturalist of the Year
The recipient of the Agriculturist of the Year award is presented to an individual or individuals who have contributed extensively, in a professional capacity, to Bonham’s/Fannin County's agricultural industry. Award criteria stipulate the individual or individuals must have demonstrated leadership and clearly represented the industry over several years in one or more of the following areas: finance, government, production, agriculture, education, labor, research, communications, trade, and public service. It is preferred that the nominee be a Partner of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

Bethanie Arie - As a Fannin County Extension Agent, Bethany is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and interpreting effective Extension Education Programs in the areas of Family & Consumer Science and 4-H & Youth Development. She also serves as Family & Community Health for Texas A&M County Texas AgriLife Extension.
Hutchings Hay Farm - Hutchings Hay Farm, located in Ivanhoe, Texas is a fifth generation full-service hay farm serving Texoma and is one of the foremost providers of hay, specializing in small coastal Bermuda square bales.
Texas Farm Bureau -Texas Farm Bureaus across the state donated more than 2.63 million through Scholarships, livestock shows & other FFA & 4-H activities in 2024. They are a Stage Presenter for 2024 Steaks on Main, Corporate Sponsor for CAST for Kids.
Texas Farm Credit - The Texas Farm Credit Bonham branch specializes in providing flexible financing for agricultural production and agribusiness, along with crop, pasture and livestock insurance. Serving rural Texans in Delta, Fannin, Grayson, and Lamar counties, Texas Farm Credit’s branch in Bonham caters to the community’s agribusiness and rural living needs by providing financial services from farm operations to rural home purchases.

Public Servant of the Year
The Bonham Chamber’s Public Servant of the Year award recognizes an individual who has currently served as a key official in City/County government and has contributed to the overall well-being and health of the City/County as a whole. It is preferred that the nominee be a Partner of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

H Compton - H Compton is the elected Mayor of Bonham, a Deacon for First Congregational Methodist Church, a resident of Bonham 35+ years, and a City Council Member for 10+ years. When not behind his desk or meeting with investors in Bonham's future, you may see H behind a weedeater under the director of Bonham Parks & Rec Dept.
Melanie Elliott - Captain Elliott has been with the City of Bonham since July 2011. She has been described as the most versatile member of the BPD. Last year she served as the coordinator of Bonham’s National Night Out which ranked 18th in the nation in 2024.
Chris Hughes - As Fire Chief for Bonham FD, “Chris is widely respected for his dedication to the fire service’s mission and his focus on protecting the lives and well-being of the community he serves".
Joey Grisham - Joey Grisham is a long-time community and economic development professional with over 24 years of experience. He has been serving as the Executive Director and CEO of the Bonham Economic Development Corporation since January of 2024 and under his guidance multiple developers have invested in Bonham.
Mark Posey -A city employee since 2016, Mark currently serves as Downtown Development Coordinator and Code Enforcement, is a USAF Veteran, and serves as Pastor of the Congregational Methodist Church in Bonham.
Ashley Wilson - Ashely is the Deputy Director of Fannin County Juvenile Services, serving since 2006, is from Lannius and has lived there all of her life. A graduate from Dodd City High School and East Texas A&M Commerce, she has been employed as a Juvenile Probation Officer for Fannin County for 19 years. Her passion for children has led her to serve on the Child Welfare Board, Children's Center MDT Team, CRGG and others.

Volunteer(s) of the Year
The recipient of the Volunteer of the Year award should have consistently demonstrated qualities of compassion and service to either one organization or a variety of volunteer activities in the Bonham community, and helped to inspire and mobilize others to work together. The charitable activities, events, or service listed on the nomination form cannot be part of the nominee’s job description or duties, and the individual cannot receive any monetary or personal benefits from their involvement. It is preferred that the nominee(s) be a Partner (Member) of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

Tere Curtis - After relocating to Bonham, Tere swiftly immersed herself in the community, volunteering with the Fannin County Family Crisis Center. Her commitment led to a full-time position. As the Board President and Coordinator for Feeding Fannin, Tere plays an instrumental role in addressing hunger and food insecurity in the area. Every Monday evening she drives to Panera Bread to pick up their day-old bread and delivers it to the Crisis Center, the Children’s Center and local Blessing Boxes. She serves on the Getting Ahead Board of Directors where she recruits volunteers and prepares meals for participants in the transformative program. Tere is an active member of the Head Start Health Board for Bonham ISD, a volunteer for the Fannin County Fair’s “Let’s Get Cooking” competition, which fosters community engagement through food and fun.
Jodi Hunt - Jodi Hunt has lived in Fannin County since 1992. After volunteering fora year at Head Start she was employed by BISD in 1994, and remained at HeadStart for 19 years. During part of her career at Head Start as the Community Partnerships Coordinator, she had the opportunity to serve on the Fannin Literacy Council (since 2005), as well as committees within the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service (since 2005). Because Jodi believes that lifelong learning is key, she currently continues to serve as treasurer on the Fannin Literacy Council and in various phases of educational programs with the Texas A& M AgriLife Extension Service. This includes serving on the Leadership Advisory Board, Family and Community Health Program Area Committee, 4-H Committee, and the College and Career Readiness Committee. She has also served as President of The Kool Lunches Program since 2018
Jenn Knight - In 2013, Jenn purchased Granny Lou’s Bed & Breakfast and became a permanent resident of Bonham. After marrying Todd Knight in 2020, she sold the B&B and soon after became a recognizable face away from Granny Lou’s. While working for the Director of Tourism, Jenn was instrumental in bringing recognition to Bonham as a historic stop on the Jefferson Highway. Jenn is currently the Community Engagement Coordinator for the City of Bonham and was recently named Chairman of the Board for the Fannin County Community Foundation that oversees the Creative Arts Center of Bonham. She volunteers for a myriad of service organizations and promotes all things in Fannin County.
Mallory McBroom - Born and raised in Honey Grove Mallory McBroom has rooted herself in the community with over 20 years’ experience in local banking. She is currently serving as Bonham Rotary Club Chair, Board member of Community Well Texas, Board member of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, Board member of the Fannin County Children’s Center, and Board member of the Fannin County Family Crisis Center. As the Community Engagement officer for Credit Union of Texas, Mallory has become a familiar face in the crowd in Bonham and Fannin County.
Kelly Royce - Kelly and her family have been residents of Bonham since 2008 when they moved here to open their company, Renlita Doors. She quickly immersed herself into serving her community. Kelly is currently serving as Vice President on the BEDCO Board of Directors, President Elect for Chi Lambda Fannin County, Board of Directors for the Fannin County Children’s Center, and an Elder and Youth volunteer for First Presbyterian Church Bonham. She is also a current Board Member for the Bonham Rotary Club & two-time past Rotary Board Chair. Her past community involvement includes Players in Progress, Fannin County Soccer Association, and Great Days of Service Team Leader
Ted Varner - Ted Varner has been an active and dedicated member of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as a Board member through which he played a key role in multiple community events including assisting with the Autumn in Bonham Bicycle Rally, helping with the downtown Christmas decoration set up and take down, and contributing to various other Chamber initiatives. As a team member at Texas Farm Bureau, Ted has also participated as a Title Sponsor for Steaks on Main and Corporate Sponsor for C.A.S.T. for Kids.

Citizen of the Year
The Citizen of the Year award honors a Bonham resident who has performed outstanding service or made exceptional voluntary contributions to the community. This service can include involvement in the Chamber and other civic organizations, leadership in business, or other accomplishments that have advanced the quality of life in the Bonham area. It is preferred that the nominee be a Partner (Member) of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

Bethanie Arie - Bethany Arie is a Fannin County Extension Agent and works as the Family & Community Health for Texas A&M County Texas AgriLife Extension. Among Bethanie's many community involvement projects, she is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and interpreting effective Extension Education Programs in the area of Family & Consumer Science and 4-H & Youth Development.
Stephanie Chandler - Stephanie is the President & CEO of Community Well Texas which offers critical suicide prevention and mental health support and improving outcomes and providing hope to those affected by mental health challenges in Fannin County. Through her guidance, Community Well Texas has implemented mental health counseling on campuses for Fannin County school districts, launched Baby Bright Beginnings, developed Senior Connections which provided 100 senior citizens with laptops and provides over 200 senior citizens with tech support, just to name a few.
H Compton - H Compton is our currently elected Mayor of Bonham, TX and is the ultimate civil servant. When H is not performing mayoral duties, he can be seen weeding around town, mowing, and keeping Bonham beautiful with the City of Bonham Parks & Recreation Team or at First Congregational Church where he is a faithful member and active Deacon.
Kristi Dunbar - Kristi Dunbar is the Manager of Membership & Marketing for the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, Volunteer & Advocate for the Creative Art Center, and serves on the Fannin County Family Crisis Center Board. She works tirelessly to support all Chamber, City, and Non-Profit events to strengthen the community ties in Bonham and Fannin County.
Mallory McBroom - Mallory McBroom's service is extensive. She is the current Bonham Rotary Club Chair, a Director on the Community Well Texas Board, a Director serving the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce Board, a Director on the Fannin County Children’s Center Board and serves on the Fannin County Family Crisis Center Board. Her passion is serving the community and children in need.
Sara McBroom - Sara McBroom is employed as a Commercial Lines Account Manager at Pierson & Fendley Insurance. She has currently accepted the nomination to serve as a Director on the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce Board because of her dedication to serving the community through action and leadership.
Kelly Trompler - A Board member for Community Well Texas, Superintendent of BISD for 7+ years, Kelly Trompler has also served on the TMC Hospital Authority Board, is the Secretary of Chi Lambda Fannin County and is currently Educational Planner for WRA Architects. A life-long Bonham native, her love for her community is evident in her service and involvement in organizations and functions that support her love for education and the betterment of all students.
Jaylen Wallace -Jaylen Wallace is the Branch Manager for Texas Farm Credit and a founding member and the current President of the Fannin Agricultural Association Board (Steaks on Main). Jaylen is a steadfast supporter of agricultural youth programs in Fannin County and through his involvement, Steaks on Main, over the past two years, has raised $56,000 for the Fannin County FFA & 4H Chapters. A life-long Fannin County resident Jaylen also serves on the Texas Farm Credit Board of Directors, and the Lake Ralph Hall Zoning Commission.

Non-Profit of the Year
New this year, the recipient of the Non-Profit Organization of the Year should have consistently demonstrated qualities of compassion, and service to the citizens of Fannin County, service to organizations, and a variety of volunteer activities in the Bonham community that has helped to inspire and mobilize others to work together. The charitable activities, events, or service listed on the nomination form cannot be part of the nominee’s job description or duties, and the organization cannot receive any monetary or personal benefits from their involvement. It is preferred that the nominee be a Partner (Member) of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

7th and Main Baptist Church -Sundays begin with a complimentary hot breakfast followed by bible study designed for all ages and praise and worship service. Weekly groups provide opportunities for individuals and families including Early Birds (Retired Adults), Women, Men, Students, and Kids ministries. Awana Ministry is open to children from pre-K to 6th grade on Wednesday evenings, along with Student Ministry for 12th graders and Warriors for Christ Bible Study open to all adults. As a community church 7th and Main delivers hot meals to the homebound two Sundays each month, organizes a yearly community Easter egg hunt, serves as a water station for the Women Rock Fun Run, 5k & 10k fundraiser, distributes free water at the Fannin County Fair, and offers a community Thanksgiving Day meal to enjoy in fellowship or to take home. 7th and Main is dedicated to creating an environment overflowing with joy, fellowship and meaningful opportunities throughout the year.
American Legion Anderson-Roberts Post 283 - Among the many contributions to the community from The American Legion include being the organizer of the yearly Community Easter Egg Hunt, yearly participation in the Bonham Christmas parade, Halloween on the Square, providing a rest stop at Autumn in Bonham, donation of supplies to build the starting and finish line arch for Autumn in Bonham, Memorial service at Clyde Cosper, delivering backpacks & school supplies to Honey Grove ISD, 9/11 ceremony at Seven Oaks Nursing Home, preparing lunch for the Jefferson Highway convoy, preparing Thanksgiving dinner for Seven Oaks Nursing Home, and sponsoring the Veteran’s suicide awareness motorcycle ride from Wolfe City to Bonham with flag ceremony.
Community Well Texas - Community Well TX’s work offers critical suicide prevention and mental health support, improving outcomes and providing hope to those affected by mental health challenges in Fannin County. In 2024 they launched 6 new programs, Became the 10th LOSS Team in Texas, Certified QPR Trainer to deliver suicide prevention training, Senior Connections with distribution of 100 laptops and provides tech support to 200 seniors, organized the Walk for Hope with 450 attendees to raise awareness about suicide prevention, expanded the Helping Fannin Resource Guide, strengthened partnerships through the Fannin Behavioral Health Leadership Team, connected with local faith organizations through the Faith Care Leadership Program, & launched Baby Bright Beginnings. In addition they launched six new programs supporting mental health across all age groups.
Fannin County Crisis Center - The Fannin County Family Crisis Center has been assisting individuals and their families that find themselves in conflict due to emotional or physical abuse or sexual assault since 1985 when it was formed by “Friends of the Family” out of Cooke County. In 1996 a local office was established but 1997 brought in the first full staff. The need for their services is so great that in 2024 they served 116 families, provided 383 services to clients & answered 124 hot line calls.
Feeding Fannin - Through volunteers, Feeding Fannin distributes food for an average of 500 families per month for Bonham and Ladonia (700 in November), and gave out over 420,000 pounds of food in 2024.
Glaser Family Charitable Foundation - The Glaser Family Charitable Foundation exists to strengthen educational & cultural opportunities, to promote and protect children’s health, and to support Christian ministries. The Foundation has awarded $14,300 to educational scholarships for Spring 2025 semester.
Morning Star Academy - Established in 2013 and based on Christian principles, Morning Star Academy's mission is to develop integrity, compassion & respect in its students. In addition to school term classes, MSA offers summer camps as an alternative to childcare for students of all faiths.
Open Arms Shelter - The only homeless shelter located in Fannin County, Open Arms Shelter provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals in need of temporary housing & assistance. Construction of a new 7,787 square foot shelter is underway at 111 S Center Street. In 2023, 81% of their residents found employment and housing. In 2024 Open Arms was able to assist 84 individuals which is a 58% increase from 2023.

Legacy Award
The recipient of the Legacy Award is an individual that has contributed their time, talent, and financial resources to a wide cross section of the community over a span of many years. It is preferred that the nominee be a Partner of the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce, but must be a Fannin County resident.

Lauri Blake - Lauri Blake served as the elected judge for the 336th State District Court for 20 years. She was the first female elected to serve as a District Judge in Grayson & Fannin Counties. She helped form and has presided over the Fannin County Drug Court for over two decades, working to rehabilitate people on felony probation who also struggle with drug & alcohol additions. She served as Chairman of the Fannin County Juvenile Board and was a founding member of the Grayson County Children’s Advocacy Center. She participates in training Fannin County Children’s Center new CASA Volunteers, and serves or has served on the Boards of Community Well Texas, the Fannin County Family Crisis Center, Fannin County Children’s Advocacy Center, Rotary, & Kiwanis.
H Compton - A resident of Bonham for 35+ years, H Compton is the current elected Mayor of Bonham, Texas. H and his wife Sondra moved to Bonham, TX in the mid 1980’s after H retired from the Plano Fire Department. He has dedicated the past 40 years of his life to building a better Bonham. H served as a councilman for the City of Bonham from 2010 until he was elected Mayor in 2021. During his 2021 mayoral campaign, H was quoted as saying, “One of my greatest desires is to foster an environment where everyone can be proud of Bonham.” He leads by this statement every day of his life. He is the ultimate civil servant. When H is not performing mayoral duties, he can be seen weeding around town, mowing, and keeping Bonham beautiful with the City of Bonham Parks & Recreation Team or at First Congregational Church where he is a faithful member and active Deacon.
John Farris - John Farris graduated from Texas A & M Commerce with a business degree and began his career in insurance with Texas Farm Bureau in 1976. He served as an Agency Manager until 1988 when he purchased The Undersee Agency in Bonham & the name was changed to Farm N’ Home Casualty. He joined Pierson and Fendley in 2011 when the 2 agencies merged. A Certified Insurance Counselor and a Chartered Life Underwriter, John was involved in training and teaching insurance classes throughout his career. He has been involved in the community in many capacities through the years including being a member of the Bonham Rotary Club since 1981, serving on the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce board as Chair twice, and served on the Bonham Tourism Committee. John and his wife have 6 children, 36 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his family.
Warren Jamieson - Warren Jamieson has served Bonham and Fannin county in multiple roles. As the retired Chairman and CEO of Bonham State Bank, he continued to serve Legend Bank as an advisory Director. He was a Vice President and Loan Officer for Lone Star AG Credit and was the Finance Director for the City of Commerce for a short time before returning to Fannin County as the Manager and CEO of Fannin Federal Credit Union. Upon the retirement from the Bonham Industrial Foundation after 25 years, he was honored by the BIF for his project participation which includes Clayton Homes, KWAL Paint, and the decision to build Clyde Cosper State Veterans Home. A dedicated member of First United Methodist Church Bonham, Warren orchestrated and distributed diapers to those in need, representing this outreach ministry for FUMC. Warren has been quoted to state that the most rewarding project during his time with BIF was when Bonham was awarded two TDCJ prisons which brought 550 jobs to the area. Warren has continued to serve the community during retirement as a member of the BEDCO Board of Directors, delivers Meals on Wheels, serves on the Texoma Blood Bank Board, volunteers with food distribution through Feeding Fannin, and assists local veterans and seniors with their personal needs.
Allen Rich -Allen Rich is a Fannin County native and former editor of the Bonham Daily Favorite newspaper. In 2002, he established the North Texas E News. As editor, North Texas E News was awarded the 2013 Frank M. Adams Award for exceptional print of electronic media coverage on mental health awareness. In 2019, Allen was awarded the H.G. Dulaney Award by the Friends of Sam Rayburn for recognition of his gift of time, energy, expertise & service to the community, honoring the legacy of H.G. Dulaney, Director Emeritus of the Sam Rayburn Library. Along with Dr. Fred Tarpley, Allen founded “Bois d'Arc Kingdom”, which brought the historical significance of the Bois d’Arc tree to Fannin and surrounding counties and by “promoting unity of Northeast Texas counties, deepen interest in the historic tree and give families many new sites for enjoying its history and importance on our landscape”.
Sheryl Stanley - Currently employed at First United Bank Bonham, Sheryl Stanley has served Fannin County in the banking industry for over 32 years. A lifelong Leonard resident has been married to Gary Stanley for 40 years and they have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Sheryl has been a member of the Leonard Chamber of Commerce for 7 years, currently serving as Vice President. In 2020 she was awarded Leonard’s Citizen of the Year. Sheryl has Chaired/Co-Chaired the Leonard Picnic organizational team for 6 years and this year will be the 146th Annual Leonard Picnic. She has also served as organizer for the Leonard Christmas Parade, served on the Leonard Economic Development Corporation for 3 years (currently serving as Treasurer), spearheaded the installation of new lighting on the Leonard downtown square and is serving on the organizational committee for Heritage Day in Bonham 2025.
Kip Thrush - Kip Thrush is the General Manager of Clayton Homes and has been a resident of Bonham since 2011. He is involved in many community functions and fundraisers through Clayton Homes, Relay for Life and the Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce on which he serves as the 2025 Chair of the Board of Directors. After becoming concerned of the environmental impact from production at Clayton homes and other industries in Fannin County, he started an ISO 14001 project to recycle and divert trash materials from landfills. During the past 10 years they have led the nation and over 40 other Clayton Homes facilities nationwide and the last several years they have been at 99.2% landfill diversion rate, lowered electrical & water usage by direct actions taken here and replaced chemicals that did harm to the environment with natural cleaners that are safe. Through the years, he has worked with city & county entities and helped BEDCO to develop a manufacturer’s round table to promote growth of new manufacturers and businesses into the area. Kip loves Fannin County and has invested into the area to make it a better place to live for his kids and grandkids.
