  • Delegate Digital Submission Guidelines: 

    1) Must meet all delegate eligibility requirements to compete. 

    2) Must register and pay the annual membership fee on the Miss America registration site, which is a non-refundable fee. You only need to pay the registration fee once per year, so if you already competed at a local you should not need to do so again.

    3) Must submit a complete application and supporting documents by midnight on March 26, 2026. No late submissions will be accepted.

    4) If selected to compete at the State Competition, you agree to follow all State Guidelines, review and execute the Delegate Contract by the due date, and pay the $250 state competition registration fee. Payment plans may be available. If selected to advance, please discuss your need for a payment plan at that time.

    5) The Miss Oregon Scholarship Program reserves the right to confirm your eligility to compete in the State Competition.

    6) All required documentation must be properly submitted by the deadline to be considered.  Changes, corrrections, or revisions in submitted documents, etc. are not possible after the deadline.

  • To be eligible to compete, you must be aged 13 to 28, a US citizen and live, work or attend school full-time in Oregon.  Proof of eligibility will be required upon selection to advance to the state competition.  Please indicate how you are eligible by clicking an option below.

  • OPEN CONTESTANT ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

    NOTE:  Applicant is prohibited from using the assigned official title prior to state organization approval of application and notification to the applicant that she has been accepted as a state delegate.

    1. Have a positive, energetic, optimistic, driven attitude that is ready to have fun!

    2. Meet the age eligibility requirements:

    Miss contestants must be between 18- and 28-years-old. Age eligibility is established by birth year. To be eligible, delegates must have been born between 1998 and 2008. To clarify, the contestant cannot be older than 28 in the year she would compete for a state title (2026).

    Teen contestants must be between 13- and 18-years-old, but must be 14 by the start of the state competition. To be eligible, delegates must have been born between 2008 and June 23, 2013. To clarify, the contestant cannot be younger than 14 and cannot be older than 18 by the start of the state competition (June 23, 2026).

    3. Meet all eligibilty guidelines set forth by the Miss America Delegate Contract.

    4. If selected to advance to the State Competition, complete all remaining program and production paperwork and other requirements. Complete information is found in the Miss Contestant Resource Portal. The link will be provided if selected to advance.

    5. Be available for the following mandatory events/dates:

    Delegate/Parent/Guardian Virtual Spring Workshop***
    May 30, 2026 via Zoom

    ***It is mandatory that a parent/guardian/chaperone attend both sessions of Spring Workshop with Teen contestants. It is optional for a parent/guardian to join the Miss contestant at both sessions of Spring Workshop.

    Miss Oregon Competition
    June 22 - 28, 2026 in Seaside
    Miss delegates will be given the option of a home stay during Miss Oregon Week. If they choose not to stay with a host family, lodging will be the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family. Other expenses are the responsibility of the delegate and/or her family. Teen delegates must stay with their family and all lodging expenses are the responsibility of the delegate's family.

    Miss America & Miss America's Teen Competition
    Official dates: Aug. 30 - Sept. 8, 2026
    Location: TBA
    Entry fee and airfare of Miss Oregon provided by the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program. Lodging and meals during travel days and the required competition days are provided. Lodging and meals for dates prior to the official check-in or after the official check-out is the responsibility of the state titleholder and/or her family.

     

    FURTHER REQUIREMENTS POST APPLICATION APPROVAL:

    1. Collect sponsors for A MINIMUM OF ONE MANDATORY PROGRAM BOOK AD PAGES. Ad pages are $400 each. Ad pages beyond the first will earn the delegate additional monies to offset competition expenses. Information to be found in the contestant's resource portal.     2. Provide a mandatory silent auction basket to be auctioned off during the state competition. Information to be found in the contestant's resource portal. Link available upon application approval.
    3. All competition wardrobe is the sole responsibility of the delegate. This includes: interview, talent, evening gown, off-night evening gown (not required), required production wardrobe, media tour outfit, official headshot outfit, and clean/appropriate shoes and accessories for each wardrobe change listed.     4. Be committed to volunteering within your community. Provide an official Community Service Initiative Essay outlining and detailing your chosen social cause and what you have done and will do to support this cause during your year of service. This will be used during your interview portion of competition. To be submitted within the contestant's resource portal. Link available upon application approval.
    5. Create a Fact Sheet that will be used during your interview portion of competition. To be submitted within the contestant's resource portal. Link available upon application approval.
    6. Prepare a 90-second talent presentation that may be publicized by the Miss Oregon Scholarship Program. Further information to be found in the contestant's resource portal. Link available upon application approval.
    7. Register to fundraise for the American Heart Association and Miss America's Scholarship Foundation via Spotfund.com. Additional information available within the contestant's resource portal.
    8. Recruit a Shining Star (aged 5 to 12) to participate in Miss Oregon's Shining Star program during the 2026 Miss Oregon Competition. Additional information will be provided at the Delegate Workshop.
    9. Participate in all fundraisers for Miss Oregon during your time as a state delegate.
