Thank you for your interest in as a Youth Area Volunteer.
Bristol Pride Youth Area is a safe, friendly, fun and non-alcoholic space for young people, by young people. This is an opportunity for young people at pride to celebrate, make new friends and get involved in fun and engaging activities. The youth area is run by two experienced LGBTQ+ youth workers and hosts a programme of activities informed by young people themselves. This years' activities will include craft activities, group games and some workshops for young people to get involved in.
What we are looking for:
- People who either have worked with young people before (as volunteers or in paid work)
- You must be enjoy spending time with young people and be willing to get stuck into setting up the area, supporting the activities and supporting young people to get involved on the day.
- You must be reliable and be willing and able to communicate with young people
- You must be enthusiastic about supporting LGBTQ+ young people to feel safe, supported and part of Pride

- Your travel reimbursed (up to £5 and/or within Bristol boundary)

- An invitation to our volunteer and crew party
Please share as much information about your experience as possible. Once we've received your application, we'll arrange an infomal interview with you to check that the role is a good fit, followed by requesting a reference from someone who knows you in the capacity of supporting young people.
