RULES FOR FISHING DRUMLISH

The right to fish Drumlish is confined to CAA members only.
A member may be accompanied by one non-member guest on purchase of a guest permit for €10. This is required for the guest to be covered by CAA’s insurance. Payment due for fees will be billed at the time of membership renewal.
The guests’ permits are our proof that we have complied with the requirements of our insurance cover.
Fly fishing, barbless hooks only.
Boat angling only. No shore fishing. Oars or electric engine.
Lifejacket must be worn at all times when boat fishing.
Minimum size limit is 30 cm.
Bag limit: one fish per angler per day. All other fish must be returned alive.
It is the member’s responsibility to complete the online Boat Usage and Catch register, together with information on other fisheries visited and confirmation that disinfectant procedures have been implemented. It is especially important that this be done. CAA’s licence to operate the fishery is conditional on complying with this requirement. Please note: if you fail to submit the completed form you may be barred from making another boat booking until you do so.
To release the boat, unlock the chain locks on the boat. The chains at the pier mooring points are locked permanently. Before departure, the oars must be locked in the boat as found and the boat moored safely and securely.
Any sign of interference, damage or illegal activity at the fishery should be reported immediately to the Hon. Secretary or to any member of the Committee.

Anglers are required to use the net and the disinfectant provided in the container which is situated on the jetty. The disinfectant is to be used on your fishing gear before and after your trip. The form is to confirm use so that we can demonstrate that we are in compliance with Marine Institute regulations for the fishery.
