Saturday, May 6, 12:00 - 4:00 pm:
Join us for a talk about quilts in Eastern, TN. You’ll see an interview with local quilt artist Linda Crouch-McCreadie, learn about historic quilts made in the area from quilt historian Merikay Waldvogel, and find out how to document the quilts you own and make. Come for the presentation from 12:30-1:30 and stay for fun interactive and educational displays, available until 4:00pm.
Saturday, May 13, 12:00 - 4:00 pm:
Bring in your quilts (ones you’ve made or ones you own) to share and document. We’ll have photo and video stations set up and an interactive station for attaching labels to quilts. Quilt historian Merikay Waldvogel and quilt artist Linda Crouch-McCredie will be available to help identify quilt patterns and other details of vintage and antique quilts.

Please select the time slot that works best for you on Sunday, April 30. During this free Quilt Documentation Day, we will have digital photography and videography stations set up. A quilt historian or educator will be on hand to help identify quilt patterns and dates of older quilts. Documentation forms and quilt labels will be available to record and preserve information about your quilt(s). You can bring quilts you made, quilts you own (or both) to be documented. The quilts you bring can be ones made recently, vintage quilts or antique quilts--all quilts are welcomed!
