To celebrate its fourth birthday anniversary, The Shallow Tales Review is bringing together 18 African creatives to read and speak at this year's free-for-all event. We consider "Reading Shallow Tales" as something close to a virtual, bookish Coachella (joke’s entirely on us).
Reading Shallow Tales III held on Saturday, March 11th, 2023, and hosted key readers such as the critic and writer, Ikhide R. Ikheloa (keynote); BSFA-longlisted writer, Stephen Embleton; NPL-shortlisted poet, Su’eddie Vershima Agema; as well as notable names in Sola Osofisan, Cheryl Ntumy, Shile Ntuli, Nerine Dorman, Joshua Chizoma, Geoff Ryman, Wole Talabi, and many others.
This year's event features eighteen African authors including Leye Adenle, Ukamaka Olisakwe, Nkateko Masinga, David Hundeyin, Korede Yishau, Obari Gomba, Henneh Kyereh Kwaku, Loic Ekinga, and Chinonso Nzeh. Keynote address will be given by renowned, award-winning poet and scholar, Professor Amatoritsero Ede.
Join us on Saturday March 9th at 12:00 PM (WAT).
