The Ashley Rose Scholarship was named in honor of Permission to FLY's beloved co-founder Ashley Rose Favors, whose legacy continues through the philanthropic initiatives of Permission to FLY. Permission to FLY's mission is to empower, inspire, and mentor girls and women with rare/visible medical conditions through education, advocacy, and the performing arts.
The Ashley Rose Scholarship is presented to an 8th - 12th grader & College Freshman or, Sophomore. The recipient of the Ashley Rose Scholarship has a rare/visible medical condition but does not accept it as a limitation or burden, instead, she embraces it as motivation to fulfill her higher purpose. The Ashley Rose Scholarship recipient has learned to embrace the beauty in her uniqueness and wants to show the world how diverse beauty can be.
Guidelines for The Ashley Rose Scholarship 1. Must be a female enrolled in 8th - 12th grade, or a College Freshman/Sophomore. 2. Must be diagnosed with a rare/visible medical condition (ex. Bell's Palsy, Lupus, Cleft lip, Eczema, Scoliosis, Psoriasis, Albinism, Vitiligo, Keloids, and so many more). 3. Preferably in performing arts in school, church, or community. Not mandatory.
Please submit your application by midnight on June 1, 2024. The Ashley Rose Scholarship will be awarded at our June, Empowerment Conference and Scholarship Gala. All applicants must attend the event to receive the Ashley Rose Scholarship (virtually if you do not reside in GA.)
