  • Get involved to partake in a series of 3 excursions in the Cornish landscape which will accumulate in exhibition of sorts. An opportunity to create a relaxed space to connect to other artists. Reimaging old / unfinished work, experimenting with materials and develop your bond with the area you live.

We are looking for a varied group of 8 creatives with practices spanning over, sculpture, sound, theatre, textiles, performance art, painting etc. However interest to themes of landscapes / local culture / folklore/ natural materials/ storytelling is preferred.

    What to expect:

    People and Places First Meeting

Here you will share your personal practices and why you are interested in this project. As well as bringing a local location that you resonate with either through its influence in their practice, how it’s intertwined in their memories or sites that you gravitate to because its materiality or its historical importance. Through word of mouth wewill open up a geographical dialogue between this small network of artists who exist and make in the same area.

    Keskorra Excursions

There will be three excursions in total running over the months of April and May. They will be in various remote locations pre chosen by the cohort.

Each session every member is expected to bring something to experiment with. This includes but is not limetid to:

    • Sound equipment( instruments, synths, sound sculptures)
    • Unfinished / Broken / Old work
    • Textiles and costumes
    • scripts and pieces of writing
    • sculptures

There is no pressure within these seies of excursions to create finished pieces within this timeline. Our focus is creating unpredictable and creative experiences. So all we need is openness to experiment and explore.

The locations will be remote, transportation can be arranged through lift shares for non-drivers.

    What is Keskorra?

A project founded in 2021, Keskorra means ‘to assemble’ in the Cornish language. We chose this name to reflect assembling people and objects within excursions of collaborative installation and exploration of the local landscape. Originally inspired by Cornwall’s rich culture, specifically Plen an Gwari’s (Playing Places) which are circular immersive outdoor amphitheatres, previously common in Cornwall, inspired by the philosophy of creating outdoor free productive and creative spaces to connect with others.

Keskorra was built by Kei Langley, a Cornish based metal work artist and cultural producer focused on creating immersiveand alternative art experiences.
