  • Before you begin this form, make sure you have the following items ready on your computer in a place that you can easily find them when browsing for them:

    • Six images (Four horizontal and two vertical) saved as either .jpg, .jpeg, or .tif files

    • Your write-up (between 850-900 words) saved as either a .doc or .docx file

    • One .zip file containing up to 10 images for cover consideration (Optional)

    • One .zip file containing up to 50 images for feature article consideration (Optional)

    • One .zip file containing up to 50 images for feature (party) article consideration (Optional)

You will need to have basic information available, such as the couple's current mailing address and email address; the payor's address (if different than the couple); and the photographer's business name, mailing address, and email address. Also, you will need a debit or credit card to pay for the submission at the conclusion of the form.

Although your browser should remember your responses for a couple of days, it's best if you have everything available and finish the form in one sitting. If you have any questions before you begin the form or at any other time, please call Meredith at 601.982.8418 ext. 77.

  • COUPLE INFORMATION

  • Names:

  •  -
  • YOUR IMAGES

  • First, we need to know how to credit the images. If all images for your page are by the same photographer (this is best) you only need to input the "primary photographer" information. If there is an image by a secondary photographer, please input their information as well.

  • Now to upload your images. Click the "choose file" button, and you will be directed to browse for a file to upload from your computer. Files must be .jpeg, .jpg, or .tif. Then, if that image is by a second photographer, put the photo credit beside it.

IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that images always look brighter on a computer screen than they do in print. The way photos look on paper cannot be compared to the way they look on a backlit display. It is best not to choose extremely dark images (for example, the silhouette of a couple against an only slightly lighter background). Images that print best are ones with plenty of good lighting and contrast. If you do wish to use a darker image, please have your photographer adjust the color and contrast to allow for dot gain.

  • YOUR WRITE-UP

  • Now, time to upload your write-up. Click the "choose file" button, and you will be directed again to browse for a file to upload from your computer. This time, the file must be a .doc or .docx file. Write-ups should be between 850-900 words (using the word count tool in your word-processing program). Please make sure you have double-checked all the name spellings. If the write-up is too long to fit, we cut it at our discretion. We would rather you choose what stays in, so it's best to stay close to that 900 word limit.

Please be aware that for consistency, all write-ups will be edited for grammar and punctuation according to the AP Style Guide. This includes the use of the Oxford comma (last comma in a series).

  • COVER CONSIDERATION

This is totally optional. If you do not wish to submit cover images, feel free to click ahead to the next page.
  • Just a reminder, your cover images (no more than 10) should already be compressed into a .zip file. This is the file you will upload when prompted to browse for a file. The maximum file size accepted is 150 MB. Also, please list the cover photographer name(s) in the box provided.

  • FEATURE ARTICLE CONSIDERATION

Again, this is totally optional. If you do not wish to be considered for a feature, you can click ahead to the next page.
  • Now, upload up to 50 images. Just a reminder, your feature images should already be compressed into a .zip file. This is the file you will upload when prompted to browse for a file. The maximum file size is 250 MB.

  • FEATURE (PARTY) ARTICLE CONSIDERATION

This year, you may also submit for a wedding party feature. This includes showers, luncheons, engagement parties, and more! Again, this is totally optional. If you do not wish to be considered for a feature, you can click ahead to the next page. TIP: If you wish to be considered for a feature, do not submit mostly "people" photos, but be sure to include lots of unique details.
  • Now, upload up to 50 images. Just a reminder, your feature images should already be compressed into a .zip file. This is the file you will upload when prompted to browse for a file. The maximum file size is 250 MB.

    • Whew! That's it! All that's left to do is click "submit." It may take quite a while to upload, depending on the size of your files. (If you have submitted cover and/or feature submission files, you may want to step away and do something else for a little while.) Once uploading has finished, you should receive notification that your submission has gone through. If you don't, please call 601-982-8418 ext. 77 as soon as possible.

We realize that a lot of time and effort goes into submitting your entry into the Wedding Register, and we sincerely appreciate your participation. If you have any questions after you submit, please don't hesitate to call Lori at the same number as above. Sometime in November, you will receive a proof of your page. Although we will be unable to make non-essential changes, it is a last chance to catch a grave error such as a name misspelling. Again, we thank you for participating in the Wedding Register!
