Jambo Africa 2025 Performers Event Guidelines
Welcome to Jambo Africa 2025! We are excited to have you as part of this vibrant celebration of African culture and talent. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review and adhere to the following event guidelines:
1. Performance Expectations
- Performers are expected to deliver high-quality, family-friendly performances that reflect the spirit and cultural diversity of Africa.
- All performances must align with the schedule provided by the event organisers. Performers should arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled time.
- Any changes to your performance details (e.g., duration, team members, or technical requirements) must be communicated to the organisers in advance.
2. Technical and Equipment Requirements
- Performers are responsible for submitting a detailed list of their technical and stage requirements during registration.
- The event will provide standard sound and stage equipment; any additional or unique requirements should be arranged by the performer or coordinated with the organisers.
- A rehearsal or sound check slot will be scheduled and communicated prior to the event.
3. Code of Conduct
- Performers must respect all participants, event staff, and audience members.
- Offensive, discriminatory, or unsafe behavior is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate disqualification or removal from the event.
- Please follow all instructions given by event coordinators or security personnel.
4. Health and Safety
- Performers should ensure their act does not pose risks to themselves, other participants, or the audience.
- Any special needs, accommodations, or health concerns should be communicated during registration.
- On-site first aid will be available, and emergency protocols will be in place for your safety.
5. Legal and Media Consent:
- By participating, performers agree to the photography and videography of their performance. These materials may be used for event promotions and future marketing by the event organisers.
- Performers retain rights to their original content but grant Jambo Africa 2025 non-exclusive rights for promotional use.
6. Compensation and Fees
- If compensation or honorariums have been agreed upon, they will be processed as per the terms outlined during registration.
- Performers are responsible for any personal expenses unless specified otherwise.
7. Cancellation and No-Show Policy
- If a performer cannot attend, notice must be provided at least 72 hours in advance to allow for adjustments to the schedule.
- No-shows without prior communication may result in disqualification from future events.
8. Event Participation
- Performers are encouraged to network and engage with attendees during non-performance times.
- Booths, exhibitions, or promotional materials related to your act must be pre-approved by the organizers.
9. Liability
- Jambo Africa organizers are not liable for lost or damaged personal property during the event.
- Performers are responsible for their own insurance coverage for any personal equipment or property.
