GENERAL INFORMATION, RULES & REGULATIONS

ENTRY FEE: $25.00
PARADE ROUTE:
The parade begins at the east end of Front Street (in front of the Post Office) and proceeds west on Front Street to Main Street: north on Main Street turning right onto Fourth Street.
AWARDS:
Awards will be given out approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the parade at the announcer's booth on Front St. Awards unclaimed the day of the parade will be available for pick-up at the Cottonwood Chamber Office located at the Community Center. Winners will be published on the Cottonwood CA Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and local newspapers (if available).
ENTRY FORM:
Complete both sides of the entry form prior to mailing, Prepare a description of your entry in 50 words or less. The script should be detailed and informative & MUST be on the back of, or attached to your entry (The announcer will only give your entry name during the parade if you do not provide this information.)
JUDGING:
PRE-JUDGING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:45 AM. (AIl Equestrian & Vehicle Entries will be pre-judged at your number painted on the street beginning at 8:45 am)
Floats, Bands, Marching Groups, Drum Majors, Majorettes & Unique Entries are scored at the judge's stand on Front St. Judges shall have authority to change entry to the correct category
ALL CATEGORIES: Your entry number will be emailed to you at the email address you provide on the registration
form. NO stallions are permitted in the Parade.
FLOATS:
Please have the main portion of your float in position on the street by 8:30 due to congestion and limited street access. It does not have to be completely parade ready until 9:30.
EQUESTRIAN:
Equestrians are invited to continue riding or driving along Main Street to the rodeo and participate in the Grand Entry. The gate at the cattle guard will be open.
VEHICLES:
Antique, Contemporary Cars, Car Clubs & Motorcycle Clubs will be pre-judged at 8:45 AM behind the Post Office (At the rear of Fire Station).
POSITION #
Entry numbers will be painted on the street & begin at the Post Office along Chestnut Street & Balls Ferry
Road to Locust St.
You must be in position on the street no later than 9:30 am
RULES:
All entries must maintain a forward motion at all times and must maintain an interval of thirty (30) feet between entries. Please limit drills/displays at judges stand to 3 minutes.
Entrants walking can hand out fliers, candy, etc.
Absolutely no getting on or off vehicles while they are moving
Entrants must have full control of animals or vehicles at all times or may be removed from the parade
Burn Outs or Display of vehicular speed will be cause for immediate dismissal from the parade
NO Excessively LOUD motorized vehicles
Position Numbers will be painted on the street to help you find your position.
There is no entry fee for the Pooper Scooper entries and no children under the age of ten (10) are allowed in this entry. Must stay fifty (50) feet behind horses and provide their own shovels and wheelbarrow.
All floats must be equipped with a fire extinguisher. The Fire Department will be checking each entrant. If an extinguisher is not available, the float will be excused from the parade.
CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OLD MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. NO EXCEPTIONS
