    This website is set up to help learn about in-store fundraiser events with Moe's Lexington and allows your group to sign up for an event.

  • Moe's Dine-In FUNDRAISER Overview

    Moe's Fundraiser Nights are now MOE’S FUNDRAISER DAYS.  Moe's Fundraisers are a great way to raise money for your non-profit group, with very little energy expended! We offer fundraiser dates Wednesday through Sunday at our location on Harrodsburg Road and we prefer Tuesday through Thursday Fundraisers at the location next to the theater. If you have a compelling reason for another day of the week, we will listen. Sometimes having a fundraiser coincide with a tournament/meeting/etc is a good reason for another day.

    Encourage members of your group to dine at Moe's on this day - not just evening, but we allow lunch sales too - and a percentage of the sales from your group come back to you.  That's all it takes.  Get the word out - HEY GUYS, TELL YOUR FREINDS AND FAMILY TO EAT AT MOES ON TUESDAY AND TELL THEM YOU'RE WITH THE FUNDRISER AND WE GET 25% OF THE SALES BACK TO US!!!! 

    How much do you get? Many restaurants do 10%, some 15%. At Moe's Lexington, we donate up to 25%.  We have just a few requests:

     

    • As we give 25% back - we do this ONLY for people saying to the cashier "I AM HERE WITH THE FUNDRAISER."  As high as our percentage back to your group is - it is ONLY for those people stating they are with the fundraiser.  No flyer needed at register, just these magic words
    • If you have a LARGE group (more than 30 receipts/families/purchases), we ask that you have a person or two OR MORE to help in our dining room - to help wipe tables, greet your group - talk up what you're doing. We don't ask for this all day, just during the BUSY HOURS at dinner, normally roughly 5:30 - 7:30pm. If you do not have the ability to do this, we still donate 20% of the sales associated with your group.  Many younger children will come to the event (and bring their families) just to see their teacher/principal/coach working!  Having this person can increase the turn-out of your group

    • We 'pay' any group bringing in less than $100 in sales with Moe Buck Coupons (for free food) versus a check.  Note - this means any check under $25 will be replaced with free food coupons.  Bring iin even $100.01 and your group will get a check back

    • Your group MAY NOT advertise/push the fundraiser information ON-SITE at our Moe's locations.  Please don't tell people in the parking lot to say they are part of the fundraiser, and certainly don't menation in the service line to a group near you "please tell them you are with our fundraiser" if they are not.  

    • We DO allow APP/Webiste orders (from Moes.com) - just please put in the order somewhere ORDERING FOR THE FUNDRAISER - you can even have it delivered through the Moe's App or Moes.com.  WE DO NOT ALLOW FUNDRAISER ORDERS FROM DOORDASH, GRUBHUB, etc.  PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Please please please never use these apps.  Not just for the fundraiser, but ever.  These companies take upwards of 28% of our sales.  Use our Moe's App or the Moes.com website to order (you CAN order delivery through these - it saves you and us Money).  If you want Moe's, order from Moe's directly.  Want Pizza? Order from your Pizza restaurant.  Order DIRECTLY from your favorite restaurant, never use the "Third Party Delivery" apps - the health and longevity of your favorite restaurants depend on it.  And again - YOU save money ordering directly from your favorite restaurant.

    We have also recently introduced a way for your group to get 50% OR MORE back from your fundraiser event: PRE-PURCHASED FUNDRAISER CARDS

    The Fundraiser cards work differently than most people are used to for a fundraiser event. We will get your group a quantity of certificates you decide- which you can sell to your patrons. The cards are good for an ENTIRE COMBO MEAL – One entrée, a drink, and a side of Queso or Guacamole. We will sell these cards to your group for $6, and in turn, your group can sell them for any amount you like; we recommend a minimum of $10, but even $11-$13 a person gives the patron a deal off of menu prices. The COMBO MEAL is valued between $12 and $16+ – depending on the entrée the person chooses – so selling at $10 still gives the end customer a savings, selling at higher makes your group more.

    • In other markets that have utilized these cards, the average group sells just between 90-110 cards (netting the group over $500)
    • The cards will be valid at a certain location for a certain date, and will have your group’s name on them.
    • The cards will be given to the group beforehand
    • Payment for the cards IS EXPECTED before the date of the event (but not necessarily the day the cards are delivered).
    • The group MAY order more cards than the initial allotment
    • Cards MAY NOT BE SOLD ON-SITE AT ANY OF OUR LOCATIONS, even before the date of the event.
    • After this date, the cards ARE good for the $6, the price your group buys them, the end customer can use them towards $6 of food, but the difference in the $6 value and what they paid, the donation to your group, is not recouped after this date.
    • Remaining Cards may be MAILED IN/TURNED IN after the event day for a refund (less $0.50 per card). Please mail/deliver these cards to Moe’s SW GRILL, 1975 Harrodsburg Rd Lexington, KY 40503
    • For Groups with younger customers, we can also sell KIDS MEAL PLUS cards, good for a Kid's meal and a side (Kid entree, drink, cookie, and either side of guacamole or queso).  These are sold to you for $3.50 and are valued $6-$8

    Using the pre-purchased fundraiser cards, Groups 'pocket' the difference between the purchase price of the cards ($6) and the and the price at which they sell them ($12+), versus just 25% of the sales price.  Having each person buy a combo meal also helps your group with each patron spending a little more.  There are also people who will buy cards meaning to attend who don't - meaning your group gets the 'donation' portion they would not have gotten if this person did not show up for the traditional in-store fundraiser.  The math is telling us your group can get over DOUBLE the funds from selling these cards

  • Tips on increasing your group's fundraiser check

     1) Spread the word. Your group is not limited to the size of your group - it's as big as your group, their families, their neighbors, co-workers of each parent, cousins, aunts/uncles, anyone.

    We have had small groups have TREMENDOUS fundraisers and have had large groups not have much of a turn out. Sometimes having a main coach/teacher/principal/parent “working” the event WILL DRAW THE KIDS IN- they will want to see their coach/teacher serving them for once!

    2) Don't forget the lunch possibility- having the parents bring co-workers at lunch can DOUBLE the payback for your group

    3) CATER!!!!! Have members of your group schedule a catering with our catering department on not only this day - BUT ANY TIME THE ENTIRE WEEK BEFORE, THE WEEK OF, EVEN THE WEEK AFTER, and make sure you tell us it’s part of your fundraiser group – get a nice bump in your total. We've had a group add $990 in sales just with one catering. Just call the catering line and ask them to link their catering to the fundraiser for your group. Please note any catering linked to a fundraiser cannot be discounted, and only 25% of the catering can come back to your group

    4) It's not the size of your group that determines the check - it's how well you spread the word. One of our largest fund-raiser to date was a VERY small private school - they've had five times the showing of some local high school groups. Only because they pushed it hard with their members and everyone they knew

    5) We have Yard signs and a 12-foot flag to help spread the word - if it makes sense with your group. Please ask us about getting these and setting them up. They read “Fundraiser at Moe’s Tomorrow” and “Fundraiser at Moe’s Today.”

    6) Have a person slated to work with us that the members of your group want to see SERVE THEM - the kids LOVE to have their teacher/coach/pastor/principal wiping their tables, getting their refills. They will encourage their parents to take them, if for no other reason than this

    7) We ask that no one in your group approaches our current customers, in the restaurant, on the patio, or in the parking lot to have them tell the cashier they are with your group.

    8) Ensure everyone at the register lets us know they're here for your group. We don't need a flyer - but many groups print these up to help spread the word.

    9) This is NOT just for Schools - have the staff order lunch from us that day., and even get it DELIVERED.  Browse our menu (at moes.com) - and have someone order it through the app or website and even choose delivery- 30 teachers/staff ordering like this will add $200+ dollars to your total!  If you’re a small organization with 3 office staff, don’t blow this off, maybe one of your committee members works in an office where they can get 25 people to order a lunch delivery!

    10) If you like, we can get your group MOES TONIGHT stickers to pass out to remind people of the fundraiser

     

     

     

  • To sign up for either type of In-Store Fundraiser OR for a conversation about them, please fill this out:

  • Is your organization a 501(c)(3)? If yes, please provide Tax ID number. Feel free to leave this blank and pass this information later

  • How many families/tickets/receipts do you expect your group to have for the event. This helps us with scheduling our staff appropriately

  • Please note - your choosing a day is NOT a gurantee this date will be available.  We will confirmt with you  USUALLY WIIN ONE DAY about the date you chose.  ALso note:

    -We do NOT do these events on Mondays

    -We do NOT NOT NOT recommend a SUNDAY for a group with younger members.  Sunday is FREE KIDS DAY and we CAN NOT include any receipts with a free kids meal at all.  It's best to avoid Sundays if there might be more than a few families with smaller kids

  • We require the group to bring in at least $100 of sales (If your sales level is less than $100, we will pay our your percentage in Moe’s Bucks free food coupons). Please initial below indicating you understand this
