Volunteer Activity Descriptions

Table an event - This type of volunteering typically involves 4–5 hours attending an event like a fair or market, where you will be at a table handing out educational information we provide and asking if attendees are registered to vote. If they are not, we will provide you with the forms for them to fill out to give to Get Loud Arkansas after the event, so we can file their registration.

Door Knocking - When volunteering in this activity, you will have a senior volunteer with a group of 3-4 people or more working through a selected area with a specific list of addresses to contact with nonpartisan information.

Voter Registration - This type of volunteering typically involves 4–5 hours attending an event like a fair or market, where you will be walking around with a clipboard asking if attendees are registered to vote. If they are not, we will provide you with the forms for them to fill out to give to Get Loud Arkansas after the event, so we can file their registration.

Text Banking - Using GLA's texting platform, volunteers use their phone to send scripted texts sharing information about registering to vote, upcoming elections, etc. All texting content is prepared by GLA and your personal phone number is never shared with text recipients.
