• MSSA Elite Program 2023 Application

  • Deadline:

    • The completed application, 500-Word Essay, and Commitment Form must be submitted no later than Saturday, April 15, 2023.

    Criteria: 

    • Applicants must currently work in the sign, graphics, and visual communications industry and be an employee of an MSSA member company.
    • Applicants must be aged 21 through 40 at the time of application.
    • Applicants' member companies must be current on dues and have a zero balance on any invoiced expenses.
    • Only 1 applicant per company/year.
    • Applications must be complete and submitted by Saturday, April 15, 2023.

  • Attach a 500-word essay incorporating three of the five topics below:

    1. What do I hope to gain from this experience?
    2. What are my best personal assets and how will I implement them to improve our industry?
    3. What leadership experience have I had and why am I qualified for this program?
    4. What leader (coach, teacher, parent, sibling, friend, coworker, manager, author, historical figure, etc) has had the greatest influence on my life and how?
    5. How long have I been involved in MSSA and how has this influenced my career path?

  • MSSA Elite Program 2023 Commitment Form

  • Time Requirements:

    1. Receive a certificate and be recognized in front of the MSSA Membership during SignConnexion2023 at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, MS on Friday, July 28th. (Includes free conference registration)
    2. Participate in an all-day training session during Elevate 2023 at Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans,LA on Wednesday, October 25th. (Includes free conference registration + two nights hotel expenses)
    3. Participate in an all-day training session during Idea Exchange 2024 in Birmingham, AL on Friday, March 1 (Includes free conference registration + two nights hotel expenses)
    4. Work as a committee on a task set forth by the MSSA Board of Directors.
    5. Meet bi-weekly throughout the year via zoom conference calls and/or emails.
    6. Complete additional online training courses throughout the year, assigned by MSSA on topics such as leadership, communication, time management, and conflict resolution.
    7. Present the results of the group project to MSSA Board of Directors on the Friday, March 1 of Idea Exchange 2024
    8. Receive an award and be recognized for completion of the MSSA Elite Program in front of the MSSA Membership during SignConnexion 2024 in Memphis, TN on Friday, July 19th.

    MSSA Elite Class applicants will be notified by Friday, April 21, 2023, of their selection status. The Leadership Development Committee is responsible for the selection of the MSSA Elite Class with the selection process based on a scoring program.
