Farmers Market Volunteer Application

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Volunteering at the Historic Manassas Farmers Market is a great way to give back to the community and help the local economy. We are looking for Market Volunteers and SNAP Volunteers to assist the Market Managememt team with the following tasks.

Market Volunteer

Assist the Market Management team with opening and closing the Market;
Assist with set up and break down of market supplies, signs, and tent;
Provide parking directions and instructions to vendors & customers
Assist at the Market Info Booth by answering questions from customers & vendors

SNAP Volunteer

Process SNAP/EBT transactions between customers and vendors;
Collect SNAP tokens from vendors at the end of each Market;
Keep accurate records to ensure proper vendor reimbursements;
Answer questions about the SNAP Match Program

Qualifications:
Anyone is welcome to volunteer at the Historic Manassas Farmers Market! Volunteers should be comfortable following directions from the Market Management team, communicating with vendors and customers, lifting heavy and bulky objects, and being outdoors for several hours.
