DCES Blood Donor Program
Every day hundreds of dogs are in need of blood transfusions. Just like people, some dogs lose large amounts of blood due to surgery/trauma or are in need of large amounts of blood due to auto-immune diseases/other illnesses.
As such, canine blood donation has become more imperative than ever. However, in order to help every pet and family in need of a blood transfusion, we rely on the invaluable contributions of our canine donors. As the pet population continues to grow, so does the number of pets who require blood transfusions.
To see if your pet qualifies to be enrolled in our lifesaving program, fill out the questionnaire below. If all the requirements below are met, expect an email from our team within 2 - 3 business days to arrange a detailed phone call about the program and its screening process, ensuring your pet is a perfect match.
